I have a nice little tip for lipstick on mature skin - feathering

I like to line my lips to try and make them look a little bigger and found that lately (nearly 50) it just wasn’t looking right, it was kind of sliding about and looking messy. I was starting to think I was going to have to quit wearing it, but after playing about with lip seals I have a nice little tip.

I use a lip stain lipstick first and blot. My choice at the moment is the Superstay ink crayon from Maybelline - Enjoy the View 20. No lipliner. Then I use Lipcote lipseal. Then when it dries I use the lip liner over the top!! Omg game changer. It stays put for most of the day. I like Rimmel Lasting Finish Spice 110 because it seems to go with most natural lipsticks.

I’ll add a photo.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try it.

I find that red feathers the worst.

That looks good OP- good if you've been able to get lipcote to work for you as well! I remember buying it years ago thinking it would be brilliant but it felt and looked horrible on me! Maybe my poor technique though! 😁

Great tip, I'm going to try that asap.
Mind you working in the NHS most of my lipstick ends up on my mask.

I even think it’s not bad with a mask. You could try and put a second coat on over the lip liner. I haven’t tried that!!!

Good tip! @StrawberryLipstickStateOfMind, I think Lipcote has come a bit in the last few years. It used to sting me, and it doesn't now, so I presume it's been reformulated.
