What the hell can I do about my turkey neck?

I've lost quite a bit of weight over the last year or so but I now have the most awful turkey neck. Are there any remedies apart from surgery (which seems very drastic)? I have REALLY sensitive skin too so need to be careful what I put on it. Any pearls of wisdom?

Watching with interest....same problem here OP

Also watching with interest. I've seen the Prai creams but haven't got around to buying any yet.

Same for me, lost a chunk of weight and now my neck is saggy and awful.

SuperintendentHastings · 31/03/2021 13:36

It's quite shocking isn't it! I'm 54 now and my skin no longer bounces back the way it used to! 🙄 It's the first thing I notice when I look in the mirror now and I hate it.

@Torvi I've used the Prai throat & decolletage cream and it's sadly done nothing! The skin feels more moisturised, but I'd say no more than if I used a normal face cream.

Torvi · 31/03/2021 13:53

@Bananarama100 that's good to know. I hate buying expensive creams that don't live up to the hype!

I've had ultherapy and RF treatments. They helped but are expensive and don't last forever. The cosmetic doctor I see tells me the only way to get a dramatic result would be a full next lift and I'm not vain enough for that.

You could look up autophagy, which is achieved through fasting.
It's the process the body goes through when cleaning up cells. Anecdotally, people who lose weight fasting say they aren't left with loose skin (or as much as they expected).

I lost a lot of weight ( still got 2.5 stone to go ) and my neck is very bad.

I've been booked in for Morpheus8 ( the same procedure as Judy Murray had ) and another called facetite ( or it'll be necktite in this instance ) it's only supposed to be 30 percent better afterward so for 3.5k I'm not sure it'll be worth it.

I will take before and after pics ( can take months to improve though ) and I'm hoping that will do the trick - I'm not expecting a miracle as it's quite bad especially from the sides but even a 30 % improvement would be something.

I hate my neck now, it's the first thing I see when I put my clothes and makeup on, I wish I'd lost the weight when I was younger but hey ho.

I've tried prai- it's nice and does improve the skin quality but will do nothing for laxity unfortunately.

Once I've had the Morpheus8 and the Necktite done I'll see what the results are like and if that doesn't work will save up for a neck lift, preferably under sedation.

You could try Profhilo. It's a hyaluronic injectable gel that works really well at improving the laxity of skin. Skin looks lifted and smoother.

You need two treatments initially - about 4 weeks apart, then further treatments are approximately 4-6 months and you have only one each time.

Depending on where you live they are approximately £250 per treatment.

Oh blimey it sounds like the only decent solutions are quote drastic. Maybe I just need to put weight on again ... Grin

I tried Profilo and I've tried silhouette soft threads and bother did anything 🤷‍♀️ my last shot before surgery is the Morpheus8 and Necktite.

Like you I don't want to go down the surgery route, my saggy tum Ect doesn't bother me too much as can be hidden with nice clothes but my face doesn't match my neck and at 49 if quite like it to.

Watching with interest, but I think it's a lost cause. I reacted badly to the Prai creams.
