Feet prep

We didn't quite reach the giddy heights of a warm spring days here where I am in Scotland but it is a bit warmer and the prospect of going sock free is becoming a near reality.

In anticipation, my feet need some love and attention. What footy delights do I need to look into to make my pale, dry and unloved trotters flip flop worthy?

Please add any tips/tricks/wonder products that might be helpful. TIA! 🦶 ❤️

Pre COVID I would say treat yourself to a salon pedicure for the quickest way to get smooth pretty feet but I've used A foot peel from Beauty Pie, very effective at peeling old dead skin but it takes 6 days to start peeling then a few days of shedding skin to get brilliant results. Or a body shop foot file after a bath works well then use a thick moisturiser.

Try footner. Give yourself 14 days before you want your feet on show, and be ready for some major skin peeling!

Microplane foot file on dry feet
Slather urea based foot cream on
Add socks
Go to bed

Thank you all! did wonder about those peeling things so will look into that.

I have a foot file so will get to work with that and I'm fairly sure I have an old tube of flexitol (?) which I'll dig out. I think that's urea based.
Then slather on the aveeno. Good idea!

Ditto QueenPaw

The microplane foot file is THE best by miles and I have tried everything over many years .Plus spending £££ paying people to sort out my hard skins problems..

Since buying the file and using it every 2 weeks I’ve never had a problem or needed to see a chiropodist.

Swipeleftagain · 31/03/2021 07:05

@SpeckledyHen @QueenPaw could you link to the file please?

dudsville · 31/03/2021 07:43

There's a lot of love on here for footner. Personally though it left my feet in awful shadow for two weeks and the result wasn't worth it. I too have a file, just a cheap set off Amazon for £10. I like to do thre file, slather on Nivea blue tub and don socks for an evening or over night. I do this every few weeks for beautiful, soft feet!

The only footcteme that does anything for my feet is Gehwol, the blue one.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gehwol-Fusskraft-Cream-Rough-500ML

Sorry about the link to Amazon, it's the first link I found. Loads of other sites will have it.

Use it everyday after washing, put on some socks (if you don't wear socks in the Fay then maybe at night) and you feet will be lovely. Mine get quite dry in the summer walking but this sorts them out.

Franksalot · 31/03/2021 19:15

Palmers Cocoa Butter foot scrub is also great and gets rid of any discoloured patches of skin.

[quote QueenPaw]This is the one I have

Same here, except mine is black .

Forgot to say OP . If you buy the file be careful and use it gently, it is very sharp .
