Help - oily spotty skin

So im 40 years, always had oily face. Always had plenty of blemishes and bit spotty too. Think got worse recently, not sure why.
Thank goodness for make up but I would love a better solution.
Im not big into cosmetics, maybe I need bit of a dummies guide!
I just use nivea face wash and olay moisturiser twice a day, that's really all that happens under the make up.
Has anyone ideas of washes/moisturisers/products to help my skin?

I've always had really oily acne prone skin. I started using a retinol (the origins one) and for the first time I can get to the end of the work day and have a reasonably oil free face. Retinol isn't for the faint hearted though and I can't say what it has done for my acne as I'm finally on antibiotics for that.

Drs, my acne went cystic at 40. I didn’t go to the dr early enough.

Id maybe change up your products. Try a gel type cleanser (neutrogena hydro boost for a cheap one, temple spa for more expensive). Then id use maybe the ordinary toner, niacinimide and a gel type moisturiser such as neutrogena hydro boost water gel or origins willow herb.

Dont use any harsh scrubs or products that strip the skin too much. Check out James Welsh on you tube, he has great tips for oily skin or Hyram.

For an overnight mask i love too cool for school pumpkin sleep pack or glow recipe watermelon sleep mask. Very soothing
