Brands for 14 year old

I need brand recommendations for a 14 year old who has no idea what she wants/likes. As we can't go in the shops right now it's making it really tricky. She's a size 14/16, apple shaped and 155cm tall. She's put on stacks of weight over lockdown and feels completely crap about herself. She needs nee clothes that will give her a boost. Can anyone steer me toward some shops to try?

Yours have some nice things, I had a lovely dress off there.

My daughter is 13. She sounds the opposite to your daughter as she's undersized, no development and desperate to grow upwards and outwards! But she shops at shein.com (cheap as chips, variable quality but generally ok, returns a nightmare), Brandy Melville (spenny but good quality, allegedly one size fits all - but most of the hoodies and sweatshirts would fit me and i'm a good size 14 with annoying mahoosive boobs), she'd love to shop at Jaded London (i'm glad she can't yet as it all looks terrifyingly urban - but then i'm nearly 50 and only wear striped tops so it's not really for me - some of the flared jeans look decent).

In terms of what she wants/ likes, my DD made me do a style picker quiz last night. Apparently i am 'indie' and she is 'cottagecore'. There was also 'Dark Academia', 'goth girl' and some other 'aesthetics'. This might be a good way for her to think about what appeals to her. Then she can look at ideas for that style on pinterest etc and that should point to some shops/ brands.

I’d she wears ‘normal’ clothes then hollister for hoodie and tops and jeans. The jeans come up quite big though.
Dd just turned 15 and is more alternative in her clothing and I find a lot of the emo/goth shops like kill star have plus size ranges. Dd is a size 10 and she likes shein as well. It’s not as cheap as it used to be but they have a huge range of clothes and something for everyone.

Personally find dresses to be more flattering and comfortable, 90’s trends are in so shirt tea dresses with a cardigan and chunky boots. Or mom jeans with boxy t shirts. Not necessarily flattering but I think teens are much nicer to each other now and more accepting that people come in different shapes and sizes. Not like when I was in school.

I know dd and her friends (she’s the only emo) would never wear superdry. But brands like hollister, h&m, ASOS is good as well as has so many brands to try and the own brand items are very reasonable.

My daughter is 16 and a size 14. She loves Urban Outfitters, Shein, Boohoo, Pretty Little Thing, Topshop and Primark.

Hollister seems to be popular with that age group, also ASOS is worth looking at, has many different brands popular among teenagers.
