Has anyone ordered from here? What is the quality like?

Surprisingly good. I've bought a few dresses.
You have to wonder how they can be so cheap though, and why they won't allow inspection of their factory working conditions.

Pretty poor, badly cut

Youngatheart00 · 21/03/2021 11:21

Does it all get made / shipped from China?

I love it! I've actually never had any items of low quality (though I'm not a super-high-quality-super-expensive type of girl normally). There are some absolute steals on there though, IMO - be careful to watch the sizing though as they have Chinese sizes - meaning in UK terms I'm an M but in Chinese terms I'm an XL or 0XL!

(obviously this is avoiding all of the ethical dilemmas around fast fashion).

berrygirlie · 21/03/2021 11:22

*Most of it does get shipped from China, yes. Delivery times are about a week usually (for me).

Youngatheart00 · 21/03/2021 11:25

Yeah the fast fashion dilemma is certainly there.

I usually buy more expensive / durable items (think upper end of high street - whistles, Reiss etc and prob H&M for casual cheapies) but I have gained about 2 stone over the last year 😫 and therefore need some more spring/ summer clothes. These don’t need to be an investment and if they get chucked away by autumn, so be it, I don’t plan of staying this size for long but I do need clothes other than gym leggings for when the world opens up.

Looking at the prices I could spend £100 and be set for the summer with casual dresses etc

Never ever. It’s a slave industry. I don’t care how long I will need clothes for I would never buy from she in and the like.

berrygirlie · 21/03/2021 11:30

I would say if you want a cheap wardrobe with a (reduced) ethical dilemma, donate one piece of clothing from your wardrobe to a charity shop for everyone one piece you buy. I'm not sure if any are open right now, but you could always sell them cheaply on eBay if not? That's what I do when I'm a bit skint and feel bad about fast fashion!

The clothes usually have thousands of reviews though, and if you leave a review yourself you can get some points which act as a discount on your next order. If you'd like me to send you any photos of quality based on the stuff I've bought for them over the years, I could do that! :)

LivingDeadGirlUK · 21/03/2021 11:31

You could do that in Primark/supernarkets too though and at least they have to pretend to care about not using child labour, and some money will end up in the UK economey. TU is actually pretty good quality and has a website unlike Primark.

Blossomgate22 · 21/03/2021 11:35

Why not try preloved and over makes on eBay.

There are some great bargains, including once worn and new but unwanted. I've just bought a Hobbs shirt dress, new with tags, Rrp of £149.00 for £5.50 plus £3.50 postage.
Much more sustainable fashion.

Bargains take time to find but they are out there, try searching by your favourite brand name.

ragtimeloves · 21/03/2021 11:43

I would not order from them.....They seem to have no transparency, ...cheap clothes...someone somewhere is paying. also sil ordered from them.the quality was ok on some items and very bad on others.
