Narrow toddler shoes that spark joy

I am aware of how picky I am being but hopefully some S&B MNers will understand.

DD 2 yrs had out grown her champagne gold Bobux trainers and her brown Bobux Chelsea boot and I need to replace them but I can’t find shoes that I think will fit her to try that I happy to pay that much for. Sizing up her current trainers won’t work as they are much to wide in the next size.

I’ve been recommended Frodo and Ricosta but I really don’t like them so the idea of shelling out £50 a pair is galling. And the colours don’t really go with her clothes.

It seems she’s grown a size or two in length but not grown in width so not according to Clark’s she’s a 7D which they don’t even make.

I’m just after a normal, modern pair or trainers and maybe some shoes as a smarter option to see her through spring and hopefully into summer, velcro so she can do them herself. Not that keen on canvas because she’ll have to wear wellies whenever it’s a bit wet out.

Anyone got any idea for where to look?

My DD is the same (2 and a 6.5D), so I’m half posting to see the recommendations. We’ve had success with Bobux too. She’s also had Petasil, which are lovely for more traditional shoes.

Clarks is hopeless. Sometimes some styles of Startrite have been ok.

Narrow footed DS1 (now 8 and a 2D) - StartRite or European brands. I have pretty much ditched Clarkes after the chap there suggested we buy wider shoes and just put insoles in.

@PointeShoesandTutus her last few shoes have been Bobux and great but she tried the next size up in her trainers when we got the last ones and they were sooo wide. I emailed the shoe fitter today with measurements and she agreed they would still be too wide. Not sure if the ankle boots would be ok but she said most of Bobux leans wide so they might be a lost cause Sad

@olderthanyouthink oh no! Nightmare! The Chelsea boots have been our go to for the last 2 winters!

olderthanyouthink · 20/03/2021 21:13

@DelurkingAJ any particular European brands?

With startrite are you getting the normal width ones that happen to fit narrow or the E width ones? I'm looking atm on the site for her size and theres only 4 pairs of girls t bar shoes and 3 boys trainer-ish shoes, all in pink of navy, none that I like
