DIY threading...

After watching numerous youtube videos I tried this and all I ended up with was sore fingers, so I ordered some sort of metal spring thing that you roll over your skin - and still, could not work out how to do it. Anyone had any success at DIY threading and can you offer me any tips? It is to remove the white, downy hairs on my face.

I can’t explain how to use the springy thing, but once you’ve got the hang of it it’s very good.
Just be careful not to grab any eyelashes or anything else you don’t want removed!

Have you watched You Tube videos on how to use it specifically?

@CimCardashian yes I will give it another go after watching a few more vids! must be a knack to it eh

I thread my tache (but wouldn’t dare do my eyebrows as the skin there really needs to be stretched and kept taut)

I use a pure cotton thread, tie at the ends to make a loop then twist it 3/4 turns so it forms a figure of eight shape with the twists in the middle. You then have to do a scissoring action with your opposite thumbs and forefinger and trap the hairs I the twisty bit in the middle. I’m probably not explaining it that well but it’s far more effective than the metal spiral thing! Example but I use a smaller loop as I find it give me more control.

Oh and I would say maybe practice the technique on your leg or knee until trying on your face!

I find a quick 5 minute session at the weekend keeps my tache under control Smile
