My skin is getting more delicate as I get older and my m&s bikinis are chafing around the top of my legs and bum. I need to get new ones Any recommendations for soft leg knickers welcomeSmile

I can heartily recommend the bamboo pants from Ella and me

As they are bamboo they are super soft, and also antibacterial/antimicrobial/antifungal.
The lace around the top and leg holes is soft, but they don't creep.
They don't dig in, so don't give me three tummies where I have had a C-section!

SirVixofVixHall · 19/03/2021 12:27

Also thanks kirk I will order some today.

SirVixofVixHall · 19/03/2021 12:29

Oh yes the three tummy thing is such a pain. I have the typical pouch after my second c-section, made worse by excessive stress biscuit eating this year, and lots of supposed tummy flattening pants simply push it down at the top rather than in from the scar, the control seems to start too high up ?

Oldraver · 19/03/2021 12:31

I now where boy shorts as used to get terrible soreness from elastic

And don't even get me started on that awful zig zaggy elastic lots of manufacturers use. I've abandoned Sloggi years ago for this reason

I mean who thought this is a good idea

whatthehellisthiszap · 19/03/2021 12:31

Men's underwear is where it's at. It's so bloody soft and comfortable.

StarlightLady · 19/03/2021 12:38

@whatthehellisthiszap - l would have thought only if you need extra room in the front 😂.

cherrytree63 · 19/03/2021 20:34

I do have a pair of spanx that are comfy, I bought some control pants from Tescos, they were firm across the top but baggy round my under carriage Grin

Grinit doesn't go baggy. It's so incredibly soft and I guess because they make them for comfort unlike women's undies, there's no bits that dig in or tight elastic.

I live in these www.next.co.uk/g27209s12/613126#613126

woodhill · 26/03/2021 17:56

Some of the gussets seem to come up narrow on M&S

I like their high rise shorts in cotton

Alsohuman · 26/03/2021 18:23

These are brilliant. They don’t slip down under my enormous lockdown tummy.

Sorry, couldn't find the link for the pants Bellagogosdead is referring to. Could someone help please?

bellagogosdead · 26/03/2021 20:29

here?

Arthur2shedsJackson · 26/03/2021 21:10

Thank you so much!

Pants without elasticated leg holes are what's needed. The best made big pants are by Thunderpants. They're a New Zealand company but there's a tpuk site. They're expensive but they last forever. I've been wearing them for near 10 years and have never thrown a pair out. I have made two oldest pairs into "period" pants because I like the concept but didn't like the quality ord the ones I bought.

Fluffmum · 27/03/2021 13:43

Next pack of 5 knickers .

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 27/03/2021 15:13

Chantelle or Falke, not cheap but worth it.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/03/2021 15:19

Oh I didn’t know Falke did pants.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 28/03/2021 10:37

@SirVixofVixHall

Oh I didn’t know Falke did pants.
They are new on falkes website, very nice though!

I am a 12/14 but my thighs are really chunky (i have to wear cycling shorts under skirts and dresses to stop them rubbing). I wear sloggi midi size 14s and there’s no digging in and not an elastic mark around my thighs from them. I’ve worn them for years and get them when there’s an offer on as they’re pricey.

Ratonastick · 28/03/2021 12:11

Fat face. Not the first place you’d look for pants I know. I had to buy an emergency pair a few years ago and it was a revelation. I’ve lived in them ever since.
