D cup bra with thin straps

Has anyone found one/own one? I know it won’t be the most supportive but I’d prefer that for strait dresses than the great big wide straps that keep everything bolstered. Thanks!

I'm a D sometimes DD cup and know what you mean. I actually find that strapless bras provide more support than you'd expect, and I tend to wear those under thin strapped vests/dresses in summer.

Maybe buy a multiway' so you can try w strapless but know you can put the straps back on to at least get some wear out of it if you don't like. But I was amazed at how much support I got from strapless and it was a game changer.

CrystalFlyer · 16/03/2021 10:14

rockingmyfifties Do you have any brand recommendations for strapless? I haven't tried any in years but just remember them sliding down!

oohmama · 16/03/2021 10:19

Following as I really want to find a strapless bra but have big and post breastfeeding boobs so I think I'm asking for a miracle ..

LaTomatina · 16/03/2021 10:24

Bravissimo. Not the cheapest, but if you are D+ and want smaller straps/strapless bras/halter neck bikini tops that are also really supportive they are amazing.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 16/03/2021 10:25

Just M&S multi-way. You need to make sure it's tight enough and then n the right place on your back - which is slightly higher than I first thought. I'm a 40-42 D/DD so am pretty big. Obviously wouldn't run in one but always wear a sports bra for any exercise other than walking.

KirstenBlest · 16/03/2021 11:53

I find strapless uncomfortable.

M&S have pretty bras in D size but make sure they fit properly around the back so that the straps aren't taking the strain.

BringMeTea · 16/03/2021 12:42

Gossard glossies are great.

SingleHandSue · 16/03/2021 12:44

The cheap Asda bras that lots of people recommend have thin straps

LouNatics · 16/03/2021 12:48

I have an E cup bra, small breasts and all my bras are thin strapped. I wear the little bralette things from primark in the size small which have tiny spaghetti straps a lot of the time and use those for exercise.

What actual size bra do you wear? D cups are pretty small in many bands. My Es are much less than average.

KatharinaRosalie · 16/03/2021 14:42

Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless will keep everything up and will be more comfortable than a thin strap bra.

FetchezLaVache · 16/03/2021 14:43

Try Wacoal.

I’ve just bought some from Sains Tu and am pleasantly surprised at dainty straps. Hope they can handle the pressure Grin

Thank you. I’ll try the bralettes!

I’m 34D and around a 10-12. It might work ok- definitely worth a try.

And thanks to everyone else for the many recommendations!

Freya bras .

IHaveBrilloHair · 16/03/2021 20:32

Hollister.
Dd is large of boob and loves them.
Although they may be awkward under tops the racer back ones have thin straps are surprisingly supportive and very pretty.

KatharinaRosalie · 16/03/2021 20:40

If you're a size 10 and wearing a 34 bra, then you might want to check out the Boob or Bust calculator.

I agree. I'm a 10-12 in clothes and wear a 32 bra.

Freya make great bras. Not cheap but imo worth every penny.

DietrichandDiMaggio · 16/03/2021 23:52

I wear a 32D bra and they all have thin straps. I actually measure 30DD, but I find they are often designed as if for large boobs, just because they are DD, with wider back and shoulder straps, so prefer to wear 32D.

MoltonSilver · 17/03/2021 09:29

My understanding is that the main support comes from the back strap. If the bra is fitting properly the width of the shoulder straps wouldn't really effect the level of support.

I think it's worth measuring yourself using boob or bust/better bra campaign measurements. You'll probably go down in the back measurement and up on the cup size.

I’ve only ever found thin straps for my DD cup at Victoria’s Secret...

LouNatics · 17/03/2021 12:48

I’m a 30E. Size 10-12. It’s a small breast size for me, though I know everyone is a different size and shape. I think it goes up and down depending on your underbust size so my breasts are the same size as someone else who wears a 34C or a 38A or something like that. Same overall size just on a smaller frame.

Wonderbra are good for thin straps
