Wrap-Round Tunic for Dancing...

I have recently taken to 5 Rhythms dancing - it's got me moving like nothing else I've tried. I am looking for a light-weight black wrap-around tunic for wearing over leggings for dancing in - any clues as to where I'd find such a thing? Or should I just buy a tutu?

here?

Hmmm, that one is a little less modest than I had in mind! I keep seeing women wearing these wrap-around tunics and forgetting to ask where they get them from - not sure if they are standard dance wear or what!

There are some others on that site search on dress - I like the halter neck - but it isn't wrap around

Do you mean a wrap dress ? Knee length wrap over style ?

webcrone · 06/11/2007 20:39

Thanks Katymac, I've had a quick look and I really want something that covers more of me, for now at least!

NonDePlume - err yes, I think I do mean a wrap dress but something very light in weight.

What I want is something feminine but not showy or too revealing!

Thanks! I have done some googling but ended up on some very interesting sites!

not on the right lines am I?

JackieNo · 06/11/2007 20:56

Do you mean something like this but with sleeves and without the diamante?

JackieNo · 06/11/2007 21:02

Or this?
Bit sparkly.

The sequin Jasper Conran one is nice enough but might be a bit hot and heavy for wild chaotic dancing! Good shape and style! Maybe I should just throw caution to the wind go for something revealing with lots of ruffles and feathers.

Please bear in mind I am over 40, not much more than 5 foot and generously norked!

I think you are going to have to ask your fellow dancers

US I know, but are we close?

American Apparel is good for dance-ish wear - how's this?

webcrone · 06/11/2007 21:18

Yes, I will try to remember next week. Was dancing earlier and forgot, and just want to buy, NOW!
