You will not get bubblegum pink unless it is bleached to pale pale blonde. Like the colour of the inside of a banana, as the bleaching forums are fond of putting it. Very high level 9/10 blond.
And it's hard to do if you have no home bleaching experience. Or indeed no home hairdye experience.
As I always put it, it's hair, it grows back. It depends on your attitude. It can be done, it could be a disaster and need cut off, well hidden or expensive fixing and we don't know when hairdressers will reopen. Or it could be fabulous and just the boost you need!
If you are still up for it....
Then.
Buy good bleach. Hairdresser levels joico is my preference. Do not buy jerome Russell9 or bleach London they are shit.
Buy no higher than 20 vol developer
Watch lots of YouTube videos
Read a lot of hair dye forums. (I dont know if I can mention them here dm me if you want to know as there are a few very good ones with lots of extreme home dyers)
Decide on good placement for your pink. If you don't want it all over.
Again bubblegum needs very light blonde. You may need 2 bleaching sessions, which may need a week in between. Be prepared to walk around with orange hair rather than bleach twice and have your hair fall off in the shower (ask me how I know this)
You will prob be better buying a darker pink dye, maybe directions carnation pink and diluting it with lots of conditioner than an actual pale pink dye as it will take better. This will need topped up quite often.
I used to say having crazy coloured hair was like a hobby as it did take up so much time getting it to look good and not faded or patchy.
But I loved it. Just have dodgy shoulder now and can't get my arm above my head to apply the dye....so depressing having "normal" hair for a pandemic
