Technical term for natural looking highlights/blonde?

Can someone advise of any technical terms/'concrete' descriptions for natural looking highlights/blonde hair?

My old hairdresser was a colouring magician but she's quit hairdressing. I need to make an appointment after lockdown but want to be able to accurately describe what I want (over the phone pre appointment, new salon and new stylist) so that I get the right result first time round!

I currently have an ombre blonde effect running through my hair and it's so subtly blended that you can't see any "highlight lines". I want this kind of effect on my roots but a more all over sun kissed look this time round... how do I describe this so that I'm not disappointed?! The key is for my hair to look natural rather than an obvious "just been highlighted" look which is hairdressers have done in the past...

Balayage?

Maybe...

I keep seeing terms such as 'baby lights', 'illuminage' etc... hmm.

Was hoping for a technical term as it's less open to interpretation, but maybe I just need to give the same description as I have done here?!

I was about to say babylights. I hate that word though. Grin

Would your former hairdresser be prepared to give you the precise colours she used in your hair? When my hairdresser moved location she gave me the colour numbers and that helped the hairdresser I use now enormously.

My old hairdresser only used bleach... it was more about the technique (lots of back combing, blowing away excess hair from foil with a hair dryer, etc...) than the colour itself! My aim is 'sunkissed' blending in with my natural (dark ash blonde) colour.

I have heard of something called airtouch balayage? That involves a hairdryer but not sure if also backcombing.
I'd love your old hairdresser's technique when my hair grows back (where's she moved to?). I have turned a khaki dishwasher blonde. I only use bleach as have a ppd allergy.
