Hi there I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

Dd is 12 and has now got greasy hair also with dandruff.

So far I've tried Head and Shoulders, T Gel and many others including Dove.

Willing to pay more money for something that works.

The Ginger shampoo from the Body Shop helps with my son's hair.

Are tot persevering with the head and shoulders? I thought it took a while to have the desired effect but I use it with dd1 and it helps a lot. I need to wash her hair twice and almost scrub her scalp though. I find that she can't wash her own hair though she can't cover her scalp and can't rinse it properly I have gone back to helping her though she needs to learn

Head and shoulders was our everyday shampoo, it worked before but as soon as DD started her periods and the greasy hair came it seemed to stop working.

I also wash and rinse her hair to make sure all the product is out.

Have you tried a shampoo bar? Lush’s Montalbano is great, has citrus in which is nice and clarifying. My 13 year old won’t touch anything else now.

It doesn’t work for everyone but I found that cutting out sulphates and drying alcohols helped my scalp, it was being dried out too much and so over producing oil to compensate

Have a try with an organic shampoo. My dry scalp cleared up straight away using Holland and Barrett own brand pomegranate shampoo. It's not the fact that it's organic, it's more that all the drying chemicals aren't in it
