What product can I replace ameliorate with for the summer?

I love ameliorate and I barely have any KP anymore just soft skin BUT I can’t use it in the summer due to the burning risk. I have pale skin and I don’t tan and even when I put sun cream on (even spf 50) the areas I mainly use the ameliorate goes red. I don’t want to stop as the summer months my arms abs leg as are out! What can I use that is as good at slaying the dry and rough skin but I don’t have to worry about extra burning?

I use this for KP and haven't had issues with burning.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush lotion smells lovely and helps my KP although not severe.

Thanks I’ll have a look. What is it in ameliorate that caused the problem with burning/the sun?

I used to use Ameliorate for KP, but stopped during the summer due to the need to stay out of the sun.

Started using these Japanese wash cloths instead which work so well I've never bothered going back to using Ameliorate.

@AlannaOfTrebond do you know what the ingredient is in ameliorate that causes the sun issue? I will have a look at that la Roche one mentioned but concerned not knowing the specific thing used. I have some Japanese things someone recommended last year, not a cloth but a sort of mitt, I wonder if they are similar...

I did use a pixi glycolic scrub thing last year and was ok but hate the smell and don’t really want to go back to that.

It's the AHA's, you get the same warning on any skincare containing acids, as they remove the top layer of your skin so effectively that you are left with the new delicate layer underneath that shouldn't be exposed to the sun. I took the text below from the Ameliorate website.

SUNBURN ALERT: This product contains an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
