Hello...I have been using the Olaplex on the advice of my stylist. It's costing me a fortune and I find the conditioner bottle finishing faster. Can anyone recommend a colour safe possibly paraben free etc for coloured hair please. My stylist advised me to use Olaplex because it was kinder on the hair but it's not kinder on my purse!

Thankyou.

I feel you!

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. It's still spendy but cost per treatment is definitely a lot lower. Get it on Look Fantastic or something and you'll likely get a good discount too.

@ABitOfAShitShow Thankyou I will look into that x

Superdrug do something similiar called Pureplex.

Didn't do much for my hair (but neither did Olaplex or the PK Elasticzer) but my DSis said it really worked on hers.

I haven’t tried Olaplex but use Aveda Damage Remedy and really rate it.

Revolution haircare is supposedly an Olaplex dupe

Another vote for Philip Kingsley Elasticizer- I tend to alternate between that and the Olaplex. Leave it on as long as you can and it will make a real difference. I also tend to buy it from Look Fantastic, they've usually got a discount code you can use, and if you buy the bigger bottles it works out a lot cheaper.

What does the olaplex or elasticiser do? I’ve seen it on QVC but I don’t really understand how it works or what it adds. Asking as I’ve had to start washing my hair more frequently recently and I have long hair that can end up a bit frizzy.

Can anyone recommend an Olaplex type thing seocifically for curly hair? I've heard good things about the Curlsmith range but when I looked up the products it was a bit overhwelming - I don't have much spare mental capacity for assessing the pros and cons of things/doing research nowadays 😁
