I've done my first ever home dye job & it's not too bad, my hair is soft & shiny . But it's a bit strawberry blonde . I'd prefer biscuit blonde. Does anyone know if I can change it now & what with? or do I need a proper hairdresser?

Depends on your starting hair colour as to how light it will go with box dye

This is funny, came on here to ask almost the same question. I used garnier nutrisse light ash blonde just on my roots after watching Holly willoughby doing hers herself with apparent success. My natural colour is mousey, I was ashy blonde when younger. My hairdresser does a great job so my lengths are a lovely cool ash done with foils. My roots are now fairly light, maybe just one shade darker than lengths but they are a bit orangey. I was going to use toner and developer but now thinking I may go in with another dose of the box dye to see if I can shift a bit of the brass. Any experiences with this? Am I just going to burn my hair off doing it twice? I thought maybe just be super careful to only apply to the hot bits and leave on for just 20 mins or so instead of the full 35?

@DementedPixie I'm mousy brown now in middle age but in my younger days was actually strawberry blonde!.
