Love Dermalogica too - awesome products that don't have nasty things in and smell lovely....Suggest you look at www.salonskincare.co.uk for great products, offers and great gifts! thinking of xmas for you ladies!

fullmoonfiend · 03/11/2007 16:54

do you know, after several year of complicated, expensive creams, ungeants and stuff, I found some old fashioned Olay Classic beauty fluid and my skin hasn't looked so nice for years

ah, that's Moonie's special Summer Skin routine of 2 weeks of crap food, seawater, late nights, cider, fags and excercising by dancing vigorously in the mud....

Works every time. You should see how crap I look on the 10/10 fruit and veg routine, early nights and plenty of water!

Bluestocking · 03/11/2007 17:30

Snap with Lennygirl but I don't always use the quince day cream, I use the rose one too.

sugarfree · 03/11/2007 17:34

I use the following

Simple cleansing wipes
Simple day moisturiser
Simple night moisturiser
Simple eye cream
Simple scrub, once a week, maybe twice a week depending on how my face feels
Natural high radiance balm from superdrug which is the same as clarins stuff but cheaper

jumpyjan · 03/11/2007 19:52

Scrub - Olay facewash (oil free & soap free one)
Moisturiser - Nivea visage (oil free)
Cleanser - Nivea visage
Mask - sometimes use a mud mask if I feel like a pampering
Other - Palmers cocoa butter

DesiderSparkler · 03/11/2007 20:02

I don't use anything from shops. I think that beauty products are ultimately counter-productive.

I'm now 42, and my skin is the same/better then other women of my age who spend a fortune on products.

facial scrub - honey/sugar.
Toner - witch hazel.
Moisturizer - anything to hand if I feel like it. Hair conditioner, honey, banana, avocado,

But most of the time, I use nothing at all.

lapsedrunner · 03/11/2007 20:11

Cleansing....um, not often
Moisturiser - Olay Regenerist

lillypie · 03/11/2007 20:12

I wash my face with soap and water and moisturise with old fashioned nivea (in the blue tub)

I'm 42 and have good skin

I do use a high factor sun screen (whatever is cheapest)

BrownSuga · 03/11/2007 20:22

neways refresh and moisturise

janeiteofthelivingdead · 03/11/2007 20:42

Although I am a huge Origins fan, I've recently been won over by the Olay Regenerist stuff, which was on special offer in Boots. V nice indeedy!

I use Origins never A Dull Moment scrub, which is lovely.

I don't use masks very much as they tend to sting but I have used Origins ones in the past which were quite nice.

Cleanser - currently Simple but I don't like it. I'll get the Olay one when this runs out I think.

BecauseImWorthIt · 03/11/2007 20:56

As an anti-private school poster , here is my regime:

cleanse only with water, in the shower
moisturise every day, with any of Olay Total EFfects, L'Oreal Regenerist (I think that's what it's called) and most recently with RoC Retin-Ox+
I rarely wear make up - don't need to [boast] but do have my eyelashes dyed, and then curl them as they are so long.

midnightexpress · 03/11/2007 21:09

It's interesting that lots of the 'older' ladies on here (and I count myself among them ) don't use anything fancy schmansy. Me neither. Wash in the shower, with water and use either Neal's Yard Rosehip Seed Oil or Bio-Oil. And that's about it. Try and keep out of the sun (in Glasgow, not difficult).

brimfull · 03/11/2007 22:46

liz earle cleanse and polish
liz earle moisturiser
lush angels on bare skin scrub
no eye cream just normal cream

LoveAngel · 04/11/2007 07:53

I'm a bit of a product whore, but at the moment I'm using:

(Cheapo) Oil of Olay cleansing facial wash - it's light, fresh smelling and kind to my combination skin.

Clinique facial scrub

Aveda Tourmaline eye cream (also love the Origins one)

Clarins day moisturiser daily, also add Clinique facial SP25 sunblock (Cityblock, I think it's called) afterwards. I use Loreal Revitalift night cream. Moisturiser's are the thing I swap around most often.

Simple face mask (mostly.. occasionally the Sanctuary's Warming Charcoal one, which is great for spotty outbreaks or realy dull skin)

I use Aveda's Caribbean Body Treatment body scrub.

I love body lotions - I have a collection of them, everything from really nice stuff from Clarins, Origins, Aveda etc to high streety stuff by Victoria's Secrets, Sanctuary, supermarket own brands etc

Can't live without: Aveda make-up remover (brill), Palmer's Cocoa Butter (best for post-shave legs), Rose & Co.'s Rose Petal Balm (lips, eyebrows, dry patches - yum!)

Celery · 04/11/2007 08:07

Another Dermalogica convert here. I have oily/spotty skin and this stuff really works. The amount of money I've wasted trying other products, it's totally worth the expense.

I also like how Clarins Beauty Flash makes my face look, if only for a short time, but I'm not sure it does my skin much good.
