Anyone tried VBeam laser?

I've had IPL quite a few times to get rid of the little veins all over my cheeks, but they keep coming back Sad They look horrible and I'd rather not have to live with them. I've heard V Beam is also an option - any one tried it for thread veins/spider veins on the face?

Thanks a lot xx

yes I had it done for the red veins (capillaries). Took three sessions as I had a lot that had been untreated for several years.

Let me know if you have any questions :)

Slavetominidictator · 20/02/2021 06:52

Did it work?

Mintine · 20/02/2021 09:02

Yes, I’ve had it and it’s worth every penny. I didn’t have thread veins but very red on my cheeks. I had the bruising type. They can do bruising or non bruising. The non bruising didn’t work. But I had three sessions of the bruising one and was delighted.

Thanks for your replies ladies. How long has it been since you had it? Assume they never came back? Xx

I think my last treatment was about 2 and a half years ago, I haven’t needed any more. But if it did return, I would definitely have the same treatment

chatw00 · 20/02/2021 12:50

Mine treatments finished September last year, and no they haven't come back yet. Although I'm rosy faced anyway (just a lot less so now) so sadly will never be porcelain skinned Blush

bookworm1982 · 21/02/2021 22:15

Thanks ladies. Did it hurt? And what made you pick it over IPL if you don't mind me asking?

Yes it hurt Grin - a bit like being flicked at with an elastic band, over and over again. And all three times, my face puffed up like Gloria Wildenstein (remember her?). But it was worth it. Luckily work from home was in full swing by this point, so I didn't have to see anyone in real life, for a few days! Mask was also helpful.

I didn't pick it over IPL - I was referred to a dermatologist by my GP and that's the system the dermatology clinic I picked, used (not in the UK if that helps).

Mintine · 22/02/2021 10:30

I chose it for my rosacea, as I understand it’s the most beneficial treatment. Just like an elastic band, not super painful at all. I didn’t mind it. You might need to cover it with foundation when you leave the clinic. I had to travel by train, it was fine

bookworm1982 · 25/02/2021 16:29

Thanks again ladies. I'm booked in for two weeks time Smile And yes ha ha I know exactly who you mean by that Gloria woman 😂 Hope I don't end up like that Shock xxx

I am very interested in having Vbeam, do you mind telling me where you are having your treatment @bookworm1982 if anywhere in the South East (not central London!) Not so easy to find a clinic that does it!

bookworm1982 · 15/05/2021 10:43

Hi VBeam ladies!

So I had my first VBeam last Friday. The bigger veins around my nose have gone completely so pleased with that, however the smaller veins scattered around my cheeks look worse! They looked ok (a few had disappeared) the very next day, but now seven days on they look worse, much darker. Is this normal? Did you have this??

Thank you xx

Sorry only just seen this! Yes very hard to find a clinic, not many places do it. Harley Street has a few clinics. But I've gone to the Karidis Clinic in St John's Wood. Xx

Can you tell me how much the treatment is please?

bookworm1982 · 15/05/2021 11:47

At Karidis it's £200 for a full face, but they charge up to £500 at some clinics on Harley St

I didn't see this before! No I didn't have that problem, but each face is different I suppose. Can you give them a call and ask, or follow up if you've got another appointment?

Possibly a few more days might also help? How did you get on with the process generally?
