If you need a small bra, rather than a feat of engineering

Where do you shop?

I've lost a bit of weight and need new bras. I measure 30D, which is a much smaller cup than it sounds Grin

I like lightly padded (to avoid pointy nipples) smooth so they don't show under clothes and a pretty strap if possible (often too much to ask in combination).

My go to has always been M&S, out of laziness really, but they do seem to be reasonable quality at a reasonable price. Nicer than the supermarkets but not as expensive as the specialists.

What are the other options for people who need an "ordinary" bra? I've looked at some of the more specialist companies and they look lovely but I don't need something so expensive.

I've found that the companies that make bras for small back/larger cup, make bras that feel far too structured, even in small sizes, so the straps are much thicker than bigger sizes with a smaller cup, even though the size of boobs aren't actually big. I'd rather wear , for instance, a 32D with daintier straps than a 30DD with a broad back band and thick straps.

I like the M and S sumptuously soft t-shirt bra.

The Rosie range at M&S, though sizes are often out of stock, but good for things that are pretty.

The 'lounge' multi-way bra from Boux Avenue, good choice for something very basic and functional, but not pretty.

But if it is just nipple coverage you want I recommend silicone stick on nipple covers. Personally I find the flower/petal shaped ones most seamless under clothes, the circular ones can sometimes be too domed or edge visible.

Not sure if it comes in the right size for you but I got one of these in the H&M sale (when shops were last open) and I love it. It says push up but it's not really, just plunge neckline and a bit of padding, plus non-wired. It's so comfy! The straps are plain though, not ugly but not pretty either!

I was also going to suggest H&M.
They have thin straps and are not expensive. Some of my H&M bras have lasted ages

Massive recommendation for B.Tempt’d by Wacoal - I am 30DD and pretty much all my bras are from there. Pretty, thin straps and lightly padded.

Yeah Boux Avenue, I'm the same size and like their Tatiana t-shirt bra

You are limited with a small back though, I have a lot of this style in all the colours cos it's hard to find anything else I like that fits.

I'm in exactly the same situation in the same size. Your mileage might vary but I find that because the breasts are now less heavy, I can get away more wearing the sister sizes with larger back eg 32C, which give you more options. I'm eyeing at the new Zara underwear range which seem to work only with smaller bra sizes but I don't know if they're any good. I've bought some lovely stuff from Rossell but they're expensive.

Boux Avenue and H&M are good, I also like Pink for bralettes. In fact if you're happy with bralettes then pretty much any teen store works and they're far easier to fit with a small back.
