Ultralift /ultherapy - anyone tried it?

I was reading about ultralift as a replacement for a facelift. It sounds quite appealing.
Has anyone tried it? How painful is it it? How much did it cost?

Any hints or tips?

I've had ultherapy - it was about £1000 at a very good clinic where I am in Scotland. They told me to take a paracetamol beforehand and I almost forgot to take them with me but very glad I did as I did have to grit my teeth quite a lot. Some areas were fine but other areas did very much have to be endured. I was delighted with the results though. I've tried tons of stuff and been disappointed by more or less everything but this really impressed me! I'd say it took the area I hated most back about 5 years immediately and it's supposed to keep on working for months (or even a year? Sorry, can't remember) so I've likely had more benefit although it's harder to tell when it's gradual obviously. I'd definitely get it again.

Thanks! I’ve just read some people saying it’s agony and others saying it’s nothing. Pin is obviously hard to gauge but I’d hate to feel I was being punished.

Where in Scotland did you go? I’m
Near Glasgow and looking for places

*tortured not punished (someone on tv was just saying punished)

Watching with interest!

I've had it twice, not for my face so much as my neck and jowls. It worked but it took a long time - I'd say it was about 9 months before I saw any improvement. And it's a subtle improvement not dramatic. It lasted about 2 years and then I had it redone. I'd quite like one last go before I turn 60 but it's very expensive.

It hurts a lot. My doctor recommended taking both cocodamol and ibuprofen beforehand and the clinic actually rang me about 30 minutes beforehand to check I had remembered. It still hurt even after the painkillers! It also gave me terrible bruising on my neck (see picture) so ignore what they say about minimal down time. And it's a slow process - if ever I do it again I'll bring airpods so I can listen to music.

Thanks for sharing @Confusedandshaken. Ive read about people taking Valium beforehand. That sounds like an idea ;)

It’s my jowls and neck I’m Concerned about. I don’t know whether even Botox might help my jowls which are reasonably small right now. I’m genetically predisposed to having big droopy ones as I age but I really want to hold that off a few years more.

I've PM'd you OP! Mostly just saying I went to Dr Victoria in Edinburgh and got results I was delighted with but would have suffered if i'd forgotten the painkiller as they didn't remind me!
