Nice ballet flats for that Parisian look?

I’m enjoying the French threads!

Does anyone have any good places to look for nice ballet flats for spring?

I have massive size 8 feet (but narrow) and just want something to wear on days when I don’t need to walk for miles (I live in trainers in spring usually and tbh would always wear trainers rather than ballet flats if I was walking any real distance as I don’t get enough arch support from a flat...)

I like bright colours and neutrals but not pastels. I can probably spend up to £100, ideally less but if I fall in love with anything I could edge it higher. Are French Sole worth the extra £££ for example?

Would love your reccs!

The true Parisienne ballet flats are Repetto, who also make ballet clothing. Be careful with where they're shipped from though! I think Zalando UK have them

FitFlop every time. If you are worried about support get the ones with a deeper sole. They give the effect of ballet flats but your instep gets a bit of help.

I have narrow feet and high arches as of have found flats from fit flop to be a great buy as they support really well and are true to size

Try Repetto. Expensive, but their online site currently has a 40% sale on. The make real danse shoes as well,so the comfort is there.

If it's a wedding or something and you're indoors, you can wear literal ballet shoes. They are so soft and easy to walk in.

You'll end up with bunions - not a good look!

I have a pair of repettos which I tend to wear indoors only, they are lovely but I suspect would not hold up well to the British weather.

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned them yet but Otto + Ivy! Beautifully handmade, incredibly comfy shoes for sizes 41 and up that somehow manage to make my size 8.5 feet look small and dainty!!

I’ve just looked at ‘Fitflop’, there’s a pair of green jungle print (other colours are available) ballet flats that I’m tempted with and you get some foot support too.🙂
Sorry I can’t add a link, I’m rather technically challenged🙄🤣

I live in Fitflop Allegros. I prefer them to all my other shoes. I have flat feet and usually have to wear arch supports but the support in Allegros is perfect!

TK Maxx do “a Piedi” leather ballet flats, for roughly £20 but RRP is approx £85. This time of year, through early summer they always have them online. If you have slightly wider feet, they fit beautifully if you size up by one.
I can’t recommend these enough...I have inflammatory arthritis and when my feet ache, these are a relief to wear because they have rubber soles and so don’t make you walk badly.

I wore ballet shoes a lot, now have awful feet dropped metatarsal (front underneath my sole). Finally paid for expert fitting from specialist foot/shoe shop (sorry forget name) and bought recommended trainer with sole excellent personal fit and made by the shop, pretty expensive in all around £250 total inner support. Ttrainer had more of a sloping heel/sole. Been my shopping walking shoe for years and worth every penny. My other shoes I buy arch supports from Boots about £5 to £8 and use the pretty feet gell pads and stick together with strong sellotape to create comfort for my funny feet. Also buy large thick plasters and cut hole in that for a tricky bone in my right foot. NOT ELEGANT but Works very well. Hope this helps.
