Vibrobarefoot sizing help please

Just that. How would a UK size 5 convert? Their website has a fit finder which suggests that my generally size 5 feet should be a 3.5 in Vibro. But elsewhere on their site they say get the same size if you're new to the brand. What should I do?

I am a UK 8 - sometimes 9. I take an 8.5 in Nike trainers. EU42 generally fits OK for most footwear but not always. EU43 is always big enough. I went for EU43 for my pair of Vivobarefoot shoes and they fit fine. I don't love them, though.

I wear a UK 5.5/6 or EU39 but will often have to go up a size to get the width I need. But my Vivo boots fit really well in a 39.

An so, the consensus so far is go for parity in size. Vibro's size guide converter is a bit of a red herring then!

What don't you love about them?

I'm tempted for me and my toddler but I honestly find them so ugly looking

Just looked at their size and the ones I want are sold out in a 5. In fact most of their styles are sold out!

I’m a U.K. 5.5 and wear a 39 in Vivos. I pretty much exclusively wear their shoes - I have 6 pairs of shoes total and 4 are from them!

oooops apologies for the spelling mistake in the title! and Post!

I find them true to size - comparable to other brands basically. I'm generally UK4/EU37 and that size fits me well in Vivo too. With the ankle boots that are more autumn/winter styles I could potentially go up a size to fit in thicker socks.

I know some people find they are not as wide as many other barefoot shoe brands so that may be an issue if you have wide feet. I think my feet are about average width and Vivo is great for me.

@1940s - I bought them purely for the gym. I like using kettlebells and doing calisthenics so the barefoot feel appealed to me. I was already using Nike Free which I get on with very well, but the purists say they're not really proper barefoot shoes. The Vivo shoes feel flimsy and a bit flappy and don't strike me as being very good quality for the price. I did wear them daily for about 8 months to give them a fair trial, but when the gyms closed I was very happy to shove them in the back of the cupboard where they languish to this day. Meanwhile I am very happy training at home in my Nikes.

I haven’t have any issues with durability. I wore my vivobarefoot high top shoes to work (I get at least 10k steps just on my commute) almost every day for 3 years until the pandemic and they haven’t fallen apart yet (thankfully because I don’t know what I’d do without them!). My trainers I’ve had for less time but they’ve been hiking and through the washing machine a couple of times and held up ok too.

ooooo I've just ordered from the Revivo site - revamped barely worn Vivos. We'll see......
