I guess they are new hairs/ broken hairs? is there a product that helps to stop them sticking up apart from a shit load of hair spray?
Just wondered as I fantasise about one day going out to the pub/ restaurant/ a friend's/ somewhere other than the supermarket and making an effort or sorts with my appearance.

Oh I just saw a tutorial where I saw a hairdresser do an interesting hack, she got a kabuki makeup brush of a decent size (like a blush/bronzer but short handled, don't know if that matters but probably a little for control) and sprayed hairspray on it and then just wiped it on and it worked really well and it was a lot softer of a look than with a toothbrush (also larger surface area so less of a faff).

Following as I have these, and they always seem to be the grey hairs. I was watching keeping up with the Kardashian’s the other day and they all had such lovely smooth hair (and no greys)

You can buy something on Amazon that is almost like clear mascara, similar but slightly bigger brush. I bought it for teenage daughter and she uses it quite often. I’ll try and find the name if you like?

BigButtons · 07/02/2021 18:28

@Janus ooh yes please!
@botemp that’s a good idea. I’ll look at my brushes and see if I have something passable.
Talking of the Kardashians I read yesterday that one of them uses tumble drier sheets to smooth down static/ sticky up hairs- so I bought some ( I don’t actually have a drier). Would love to report that it worked but it didn’t - and now my hair smells of spring meadow😂

Central hearing, hats and cold seem to be making it all ten times worse. Hardly the biggest problem in the world but I still resemble Worzel Gummidge even after I’ve brushed my hair.

Ouai sells those sheets too, and I think the founder of that is the Karjenner stylist of choice. I believe the oaui sheets don't work either...

It’s called ‘hair feel stick’, £5.99. Daughter says it’s was good, not too sticky.

TheSpottedZebra · 07/02/2021 18:51

The Kardashians wear wigs/pieces in 75% of their pics (ish), so dont compare your natural hair to that!
Also, they are part Armenian so they have congenitally Good Hair.
And a stylist on call.

It's just gel and a spoolie.

Janus · 07/02/2021 19:21

Ok, you can probably get it cheaper by doing it yourself but it’s convenient!

pensivepigeon · 07/02/2021 19:23

Moisturise your hands then just pat them down.

Just spray your hair brush with hairspray and then brush through - works really well.
