Restoring this Mulberry bag...

I would love some advice if possible... I bought this Mulberry bag in 2010 and have used it a lot. The leather has become really worn and I'd really like to have it restored. I've been quoted £100 by Mulberry for their cleaning and polishing service. Is this the sort of thing I could do myself if I bought some leather cleaner/polish? I really don't want to mess it up so any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

I would use a clear saddle soap and work it into the leather slowly doing a few coats over a few days .
@MrsRockAndRoll was your bag in a similar condition to mine? It seems much better value than the premium bag restoration websites. Fingers crossed my final quote comes back similar!

@ButwhereisMYcoffee if you go to mulberry.com and scroll to the very bottom it's under 'services'. You just have to fill out a questionnaire and submit photos.
The overall leather condition looked better on mine. However close up mine had several large scratches, a couple of water marks & the overall colour had faded slightly. It looked amazing afterwards & 2 years on still looks perfect.

I took mine into Mulberry & they sent it off for me however the alternate was to have it couriered to Mulberry directly

This will not be just a cleaning job as the colour will also need to be restored - around £195.00 at The Handbag Spa
