Styling my longer, thick hair

I've just turned 50, hair mostly dark brown with a little grey and some lighter highlights. It's fine but really thick - there's lots of it - and wavy that frizzes like mad in damp weather. It hangs just below my shoulders and I like it that length. However, I always wear it long and loose.
I've never really found a way of tying it up that I like. I wear glasses and people have said I look a bit prim and proper with it tied back in the past, admittedly a long time ago.
Can anyone recommend good styles or a YouTube vid for this type of hair, that looks a bit funky with glasses?

I have quite curly hair and fairly thick & I've always found that if I have more textured cut then I can style in a number of varieties where as when it's been long and just a blunt cut it hasn't been as easy to do.

This is it at Christmas time I can also style it down fairly fluffy like the pic or smooth it down to give a more heavy fringe vibe. Plus pin bits back also a loose side ponytail.

Thank you, that's helpful. I do have layers, but I think I need to master loose ponytail and straight it so it doesn't go into ringlets

I either go for a slicked centre part, comb it all back or leave the front sections out when I put it back.

By put it back, I just go for low/mid/high ponytail/neat bun/messy bun

I'd go with the ringlets but thaty personal choice I just never straighten my hair.
I've also recently been doing a high ponytail and one were I take the front back and push it up a little then do a ponytail.
