DC will be 3 in a couple of months. Hopefully around that time we’ll also be starting to get some freedoms back too.

I’ve let myself go since DC was born, and lockdown has just been the icing on the cake - I often spend the whole day in pjs and rarely brush my hair Blush

I used to be considered attractive and took pride in my appearance but since becoming a mum I’ve struggled to get ready in a morning, not sure what I’m doing wrong as other mums I know still look great Sad

So I’m looking for realistic things I can do to look and feel better. I’ve never been very high maintenance and live an active / sporty lifestyle so no suggestions like fake nails / hair extensions please!

Get a routine that works and is faff free
Pulling on good fitting jeans and a T-shirt is no effort but you’ll look good
Invest in some jeans that fit well, get some T-shirt that hang well
Work out what suits and what you like

Lay out your clothes in advance and hang up ready to wear
Shower and use a serum or oil to style your hair. Work it through towel dry hair and comb it through
If you like your hair up do a ponytail or tousled top knot

Use a tinted moisturiser
Tinted balm for lip and cheeks

Clinique lash power will not shift all day, won’t flake or run

Moisture your skin to look glowy, use rosehip or marula oil, put on overnight

Squirt of perfume to feel good

Weekly hair masque

I agree that it's totally about finding things that work for you - a simple and low maintenance hair style (mine is a long bob with a bit of a side fringe; takes a couple of minutes to take with my straighteners), a basic skin care (and make up if desired) routine and a wardrobe of good quality basics that you can mix and match. I always feel better with a squirt of perfume and a little bit of jewellery too.

It’s just about looking like you on a good day
I lay all my clothes out in advance, all hung up together inc any accessories. It means I’m not faffing thinking what to wear, it’s all done

Pack your bag in advance and when charging phones and iPad I put them in the bag I’ll be using them in. So no hunting for phone or walking away leaving it on charge

Keep baby bag topped up and it’s ready to grab and go

Break the week up by doing something relaxing eg hair masque

Diet/nutrition prepare food in advance and pop in fridge. That means you’ll less likely snack on rubbish
Make soups,salads,sandwiches to eat.
Something portable to pop in bag if you’re on the go eg sandwich, fruit etc
