Racer it T back bra for huge boobs and shoulder/neck pain

I've spent all weekend trying to find a bra that will not be a misery to wear.... I'm size 34H / 34J depending on bra style. Since I was 18 I have had awful neck pain every day. My muscles completely seize up from my shoulders all the way up to the back of my head. For the last couple of years I have had what feels like trapped nerve pain in one of my shoulders. I absolutely dread having to put a bra on because of the weight of my breasts is then entirely pulling on my shoulders and this causes me awful headaches. I've found that racer back or T back bras take the weight off of my shoulders and the fabric in the centre of my back takes the weight, but I can't find anything in my size. I got one from bravissimo called an Alexa but the wires are so uncomfortable and I can't do up the clip at the top. I would even be happy with one of those posture bras but they don't come in my size Sadall the lovely comfy bras I have found stop at cup size G. I'm really hoping one of you can make a suggestion?

That should say racer OR T back bra...

I use either Brastop.com or figleaves fir similar nork size. Ive just actually bought a shock absorber bra that has 2 fastenings, wide straps and is the most comfortable sports bra I've ever owned. If you can't find a normal bra in the style you want maybe look at maternity bras, the straps tend to be wider and more supportive and more likely to find a range of styles without wires if that's what you want.

Frouby · 31/01/2021 13:04

Also boobydoo, that's where I've just bought shock absorber one.

Have a look at Molke. I'm 36H and they fit.

Otherwise I wear Elomi or Fantasie

floppybit · 31/01/2021 13:20

I've got fantasie bras but they don't do a racer back or anything comfy. Those Mille ones don't look very supportive

Molke

Bravissimo jenna
Elomi Matilda (has a j clip to make it a racer back)

Excuse the squishy bits but this is the bravissimo jenna and I'm a 34K

floppybit · 31/01/2021 13:27

@QueenPawPaws ah yes, the Jenna has a magnetic clasp I think but the Alexa doesn't and I just can't get the bloody thing on!! Will look up the one with the j hook, thanks for your help

Just ordered one of those bralettes

QueenPawPaws · 31/01/2021 13:44

@floppybit yes, magnetic and strong! I find it really easy to do up

ShirleyPhallus · 31/01/2021 13:48

I’m the same bra size and just to check - do you do any exercise? Mine haven’t ever caused that much pain but I lift weights and do yoga / stretching. That might help you to loosen things off and to build up some more strength so they don’t feel as heavy iyswim.

The Freya sonic sports bra is brilliant and comes with a clip to make it racer back, really recommend

cardoon · 31/01/2021 13:54

will you let us know what you think of the bralette please @floppybit?

cupofdecaf · 31/01/2021 13:55

This is a nursing bra with a flexi wire

www.bravissimo.com/products/temptation-nursing-bra-hh100/#petal-pink-hh100pep

It has a clip to make it a racer back. I find it very comfortable.

floppybit · 31/01/2021 13:55

I used to do Bootcamp but don't do any exercise at the moment which has certainly made things worse. I'm very tall at 5'11 and usually a size 14 but I've put on so much weight over lockdown my size 16 jeans are feeling tight, not good

floppybit · 31/01/2021 13:58

@cardoon yes, will post verdict when it arrives

Not for all day out of the house probably but the Bravissimo PJ racer back tops are very comfy!

floppybit · 31/01/2021 22:15

Anyone tried one of those Sugar Candy bras?

The Panache Sports Bra that Bravissimo do- I’m a 28J/30HH and have the same issue- I don’t want the weight on my shoulders but find that the Bravissimo Alexa just tips me out in the middle if that makes sense?

The sports bras are SO supportive- I wear with the J hook most of the time and then unhook that in the evening- the band is so sturdy that this works for me. They look like the top of a normal vest so I have no issues wearing them under clothes- just looks like I’m wearing a normal crop/vest top which had wider straps which are very normal at my size!

N0tfinished · 05/02/2021 08:56

Sorry, wasn't online there for a while. The molke are quite supportive. One of the few bralettes I'd wear to the shops etc. the fabric is quite substantial. Also, boobs are separated, you don't get the mono-boob. They do pull on over your head though. Would that bother you with your shoulder pain?

floppybit · 05/02/2021 09:53

@N0tfinished hmm, they must be more supportive than they look , they look like a couple of old hankies stitched together Grin

@cardoon just give you an update on the Reign bralette. It's ok, but that's as far as I'd go. I ordered a medium and the cups are quite tight but the elastic band around chest is quite generous. If I went up to a large I think the cups might be better but the band too big. I will keep it for lolling around the house. I also ordered the high waisted biker shorts to match, these were hilarious! They were so low rise they didn't even cover my bum so they are going back. How they could be described as high rise I don't know. Going to give the Candy Bra a go next I think

I'm smaller than that but I find Molkes very supportive, the fabric is thick.
Have tried a few of those sugar candy types, the ads all look so great so you think this one will be different - but nope, they're all horrible and offer no support whatsoever.

Have you tried any longline bras, Freya has some models? They are excellent for support and getting that load off your shoulders.
