Comfortable joggers which look like ordinary trousers. Do the exist?

I am looking for pull on trousers in comfortable cotton/jersey. Not too thin and no cuff on the bottom, preferably in navy, size 16. Does this holy grail of trousers even exist? Has anyone seen or got any recently? Thanks!

Just wear comfortable trousers?

I don't get why everyone suddenly seems unable to cope with a waistband

And your point is?

DeadCertain · 31/01/2021 16:54

@EraOfThe Grey - I like those!

PartoftheProbl3m · 31/01/2021 16:56

wear trousers

KatharinaRosalie · 31/01/2021 17:21

Yes - only trouble they come from the US. Thick material and look good enough to walk into any office, but pull on and stretchy. I have 6 pairs.

I don't like a waistband because being apple shaped, if trousers fit around my waist, they are like clown trousers round my thighs. Really I think it is my choice what sort of trousers I want to buy and I like comfortable ones with an elasticated waist. I have some jeans but I want joggers with no cuffs right now. It isn't that hard to understand surely?

Hush are ££ and rubbish quality. The zips disappeared off the cuffs. Anita.

Uiseag · 31/01/2021 17:58

Not joggers but Barbara Lebek pull on trousers are really comfortable and flattering, I wouldn't pay full price but got a couple of pairs once in a sale and would definitely buy again.

Pigtailsandall · 31/01/2021 18:06

@EraOfTheGrey I really like those Cos ones. Might have a get them...

IBelieveInAThingCalledScience · 31/01/2021 18:12

Lands End are very frumpy but they do have a pair of what look like "normal" trousers, which feel just like yoga pants. They're also thick, warm and not see through.

IBelieveInAThingCalledScience · 31/01/2021 18:13

Lands End trousers are called Starfish slim leg.

I have two pairs in black.

I ordered those ones earlier!

@ApolloandDaphne Also an apple with a few extra Christmas/lockdown stone lbs. I got these, they're comfy and quite flattering I wear mine with boots or trainers with a cashmere jumper or a sweatshirt. A little smarter than the yoga pants I've been living in!

They are nice and would be great if I needed a smart going out pair of trousers. However I spend most of the time with trousers tucked into wellies out in the mud with my dog. Narrower trousers work better for that! I will bear those ones in mind for post lockdown.

Another vote for the Lands' End Starfish slim leg trousers.
I bought the animal print ones.

JemimaMuddledUp · 31/01/2021 19:53

I have the straight leg joggers from M&S, in both navy and charcoal. They've become my lockdown WFH staple, with various layers of vest/long sleeved tshirt/cardigan /scarf.

whiteroseredrose · 31/01/2021 19:57

Rohan do trousers called troggings. My DM wears them with a blazer and looks smart, DD and I wear them for walking as they're really comfortable.

fitflopqueen · 31/01/2021 20:06

Magic trousers may be your secret friend. Smaller boutiques do them, usually 2 sizes regular which fit 8-16 and curve which go a bit bigger, something similar to thisrubyanddaisy.co.uk/products/the-magic-trouser?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv7Lo4PrG7gIVi-vtCh1MnAB7EAAYASAAEgKE0_D_BwE or freckle.boutique/products/original-magic-pants

Baukjen and Saint & Sofia. Not cheap but decent quality and nicely designed.

Boogiewoody · 31/01/2021 21:21

@ApolloandDaphne Great! They're very comfortable I wear them to work (when I'm in) and they don't dig in even if you're sitting down all day. Look really smart too.

BarefootBaritone · 09/02/2021 17:55

I had some from M&S last year - the exact ones aren't listed now, but they were very similar to these. (If we're talking "trousers I can get away with wearing to work with a long smart top if I spend most of the day sat down" type trousers ;-) )
