Quality clothing for my teenage daughter

Workingmum34 · 27/01/2021 22:41

My teenage daughter has grown out of Boden, John Lewis, Joules etc.

Any recommendations where she can get good quality clothing that she may actually wear? All the usual places (New look, next, shein etc) seem really low quality, need a lot of irony and look rubbish after one wash.

Would she get into vintage/preloved clothing? You can shop online at vinted or depop and get some awesome things that are great prices.

Possibly. We have bought some stuff from here before but after a couple of washes it starts to look really worn.

To be honest I'm not sure that places like Next are of any lower quality than John lewis or Boden. Fair enough Primark, Shein etc is a bit crap but if you were previously happy with her wearing John Lewis and Boden then there's plenty of similar places that do good quality clothing (and that price bracket). How old is she?

  1. The stuff in next seem to be very pink and fluffy.

She’s into skateboarding and lives in leggings and jeans.

My similar age daughter likes Hollister. We’ve only been buying their stuff for about 9 months but so far everything has been worn a lot and has washed well. If you join their Club Cali you get discounts etc.

My eldest has a couple of Hollister things and I have bought from there for teen relatives. It does seem quite good quality.

Zara goes up to age 14 now. The quality of the childrens wear seems much better quality on the whole than the adults.

My sister in law has given my daughter several things from Jigsaw junior. Beautifully cut and designed clothing and great quality.

I've never tried Jack Wills but that might fit the bill.

We get quite a lot from H&M conscious range as DD likes the ethics behind it.

Great thanks everyone. She’s had some Jack Wills stuff - mainly hoodies - but jigsaw & Hollister are great shouts!

My DD mainly goes for the Gilly Hicks stuff at Hollister. They’re really nice.

Mine like Top Shop, but a lot of people rave about H&M.
