Touché eclat - is it good or should I get something else?

I'm 40 year old and think it's time to address my tired looking eyes, as they're getting quite dark underneath

I used touché eclat for this in my 20s. Would this be a good option or too light? Maybe a bit passé?!

I wear minimal make up as im not very good at it so don't want to get into a whole
Concealer and foundation routine. So I'm looking for something really easy to use and simple

What's the best thing to use? I do like the application of the touché eclat as it's so
Easy and you don't have to use your fingers!

I use NARS radiant creamy concealer for dark circles, and it works really well. It comes with an applicator and then I just blend it in: www.cultbeauty.co.uk/nars-radiant-creamy-concealer.html

No7 instant radiance is nice.

I've been a Touche Éclat woman for years, but took a punt on the Pat McGrath concealer and powder duo on the back of a youtube review and I don't think I'll go back now. You only need the teeniest bit for good coverage, so I can see it lasting ages. I also bought a proper (still cheap) brush instead of my fingers, and dab a tiny bit of powder on with a beauty blender and it's made a big difference.

If you like touche eclat then I'd stick with that. I've tried other things but I just keep going back to it. It's so versatile too. I do use a corrector under my eyes sometimes too, I use a Charlotte Tilbury one but Bobbi brown has a nice one too. Then I add some touche eclat on top :) (I don't use foundation)

Thanks everyone!!

I use Charlotte tilbury, ysl gives me styes and is too unnatural looking for me.

I'd recommend trying Sisley Phyto Cernes Eclat Tinted Eye Concealer. Not a big selection of shades but if you manage to find your match - it is amazing. Also has skin care element to it that targets fine wrinkles. I think I've tried everything under the sun from drugstore to niche products, but this is the one I'm staying with.

cheaper than touch eclat: W7 Light diffusing concealer, £3, ebay. Just as good (imho).

You might want to try an under eye cream, though, instead. I'm loving Vitaskin Vitamin C Lifting eye cream: £15, holland and barrett.

Collection is also better than TE.
For dark circles though, TE wouldn't work as it's a highlighter, not a concealer.
You really need a colour corrector for dark circles. (I can't be bothered most times either, but I do notice the difference when I can!) I use Bobbi Brown with their creamy concealer on top.

My dad uses maybelline erasure and did my make up recently. It's amazing, I am a convert. It's cheap enough to take a punt on

ImperfectTents · 30/01/2021 06:39

Not my dad my dd

Makeuplover · 30/01/2021 07:57

This sounds weird but Florence by Mills See You Never Concealer in the lightest shade for light skin is the best for everyone. My DD used this to cover her dark circles as she is very pale (when she was younger she got asked if she was wearing eyeshadow under her eyes) When she was on holiday I ran out of concealer so I used DD’s ;I am now a convert. This is more of a teen brand but I got it for her for Christmas 2019 and its still going strong now and it’s 2021 now so I rate this 11 out of. 10.

Juliancoped · 30/01/2021 08:01

I was thinking what a talented Dad Grin

Second Nars creamy concealer. You can buy travel sizes on Asos but they last ages anyway. You only need a little.

tunainoliveoil · 30/01/2021 08:02

I have awful genetic dark deep set eyes and the absolute best ever ever ever is Beautypie under eye genius. It's brilliant. I do have to use two shades and mix together but I don't care.

georgarina · 30/01/2021 08:26

I tried it and didn't get the hype for what it cost! Any under eye highlighter/brightener should work.

mizu · 30/01/2021 10:06

I get the Clinique airbrush one and have done for years but am looking at the new Trinny under eye range..........

Coffeepot72 · 30/01/2021 12:05

On the strength of this thread I’ve just ordered a YSL touché eclat with my Boots Advantage card points .....
