Practical but stylish coat

I'm looking for a water proof parka type coat.

I bought the Seasalt Janelle, as recommended on here but it arrived and it is too frumpy for me (although it seems practical). I'm 5 feet 6, if that helps.

Is it possible to stay dry but look stylish???

Here's a thread with lots of ideas for practical but stylish, it's hard to find but is possible!

Ilse Jacobsen would be my choice.

Thanks @hollyangel. Wish I'd read that before I ordered the Janelle.

I know, Seasalt gets mentioned all the time on here, but it wouldn't be my cup of tea.

Have fun searching!

Thanks @hollyangel

I like the length of the Janelle and I'm considering keeping it for those horrendous weather days (I live in Manchester so we get a lot of horizontal rain) purely to throw on over my work clothes, so I don't arrive at work damp. I've bought it in woodland green rather than any of the twee colours.

That said I'm after something more stylish to wear casually - I like the Ilse Jacobsen ones.

I love my uniqlo seamless down coat. I have the shorter one which ends mid to low thigh. Its waterproof, soooooo warm and quite fitted without being too fitted. It's been my buy of the year.

@kmini

Do you have a link please?
