And my point is that if face exercises work, wouldn't we all be doing it, or at least aspire to do it, like we do with exercise.
I looked up Eva Fraser and found a YouTube video. She does indeed look good for her age with no double chin or sagging of the lower face. However, she doesn't seem to move the lower part of her face very naturally to me, it's like only her mouth moves when she speaks.

[/quote] No they wouldn’t because it is more complicated that simply Fflint out for a walk or run and most people can’t be arsed to add another layer of exercises into their routines for a slow return. Think you will find that a lot of the current exercisers will stop once things are opened up again. It’s no matter to me whether people do it or not. The op asked if it worked It does yes.

He's right to an extent about being overweight though, it can stretch out the wrinkles to an extent and when middle aged people lose weight they can end up looking older.

Or they'll just go back to the gym. The people I know exercised even pre-lockdown though it's true that long walks have become a more common hobby recently.

I can understand the skepticism about face exercises- I was too. In fact when I tried them as a last resort I honestly didn’t think they would work. I thought: what has muscle got to do with skin laxity? But I just did the one exercise I found online for a month - not noticing any change from day to day. But one day in the hairdressers I realised my jowls were alot better and my once plump but now flat cheeks had regained some plumpness. It wasn’t so rectangular any more. So of course I was hooked and bought a book (it was only a few pounds) and I think my skin has continued to improve. Anyway I don’t care if people don’t believe me - but you have nothing to lose in trying. Most are free after all

It's always at the hairdressers isn't it? I had the same experience and started doing some face exercises in the first lockdown but it's so hard keeping up with them!

RiverSkater I mainly do Eva Fraser exercises and another system called Ageless if you Dare by a woman called Louise Annette. There are plenty of free examples if you google them. I think it’s also demonstrated in a video on the Eva Fraser website😀

On the face the muscle is attached to the skin- unlike the rest of the body. So when the muscle loses tone it pulls everything down.
As we age we also lose fat on our faces. Building muscle does help to compensate for that in some way.
Massage is also very important for skin tone and thickness.
