Reasonably priced joggers, OR wide supportive shoes that can be worn with tights?

Sorry for this initial whinge... I live in dresses with thick tights and either Doc Martens or fairly flimsy trainers. But after a few bad ankle sprains my physio has strongly recommended I actually wear the orthotics I'm supposed to wear for pronation issues, in a supportive shoe. My Docs aren't wide enough to fit the orthotics, so I'm down to my running shoes for now.

Is there a type of shoe that's wide and supportive but would still look ok with casual dresses (usually shirt/skater shape) and tights?

If not, I think I'm going to have to go the ath-leisure route for day-to-day. I don't want to spend a fortune on joggers so Sweaty Betty etc are out, does anyone have some that cost less than, say, £30 and still look ok? I'm not a particularly smart dresser so I don't need to look amazing, but I'd like something that fits nicely, at least.

Thanks!

Jack will skinny joggers are a huge hit in our house with dd1 and 1. They are in the same £28.

If you don't like them I've bought amazing cord leggings (like cord style not actual stuff cord) in Morrisons £11! They are very comfy but also look really smart. I wear them to work and I'm complimented often.

I used to wear these when I needed orthotics www.cheerfulsoles.co.uk/brands/alegria-shoes/alegria-paloma-black-nappa.html

DM shoes are pretty wide fitting and I wear mine with dresses.

I’ve been able to take the DM insoles out and put my orthotics in instead. I was able to do this with a lot of my shoes/boots when I had to get orthotics. Might be worth a go. Also depending on the orthotics you might be able to trim them a little yourself, I’ve had to do this when mine were a little too long.

These wide leg jersey trousers from m&s are actually incredibly good quality, look fairly smart , don't go baggy at knees etc and are £15, I've worn them loads to wfh

They cost a bit but i have found gabor trainers best with orthronics..they have zips on both sides for expansion. Very comfortable
