Rose perfume

I am looking for a perfume that smells just like rose petals. Most rose scents end up making me feel sick but the smell of actual rose petals can't be beaten! I had one from L' Artisan Parfumeur which I loved when smelling quickly but actually on my skin, couldn't stand. Not a fan of the Jo Malone Red Roses. I'm wearing Jo Loves White Rose and Lemon Leaves today, which I like but I'm sure there is a better one for me to try. Thank you.

My personal favourite rose remains Paris.
But the best rosey-rose is the L'Occitane one mentioned upthread.
I have a sample of the 4160 one but as ever with their scents, I find it too sweet and with too much going on.
I'm a fan of Heeley Hippie Rose as well (patchouli and rose)
If you want a simple rose, then Boots rose cologne costs about £4 for an enormous bottle!

Chlöe rose is gorgeous - very true rose scent

LongIslandIcedT · 16/01/2021 13:57

Paul Smith Rose here too.

I have quite a few of the scents mentioned above - Portrait of a Lady, Rose Silence, Heeley Hippie Rose, and Stella. Stella is definitely the rosiest of them all.

Perfume blogger here!

Paul Smith Rose is excellent and not too expensive. 4160 Tuesdays does some excellent rose fragrances and you'll be supporting a small business: Raw Silk and Red Roses is my favourite. Also, one of my favourites is golden oldie Yardley English Rose. I wore it in 30 degree heat one year and it was sensational. It smells like real roses.

Glad I asked this question. Have killed a good couple of hours looking at all these suggestions Smile

Paul Smith Rose for me too!

Another vote for Paul Smith Rose!

Penhaligons, but Duchess Rose rather than Elizabethan Rose. It's really lovely.

Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose is meant to be a realistic rose scent. I love Rose 31 but it seems primarily woody to me and there's a cumin note that's a bit divisive.
