Hi I am 44 yrs old and have spent way too much time in the sun. The wrinkles are now really deep at the side of my eyes so want to start using something. Maybe start small and build up. I also have quite greasy skin for my age. Any recommendations.

I've been using Skin + Me, started in November and been really impressed. It has tretinol ( I think that is how it is spelt), which apparently is the only form of retinol that actually does anything, or at least significantly. I was previously using a medik8 one which cost over 100 quid and this feels like it is doing more. Early days though.

If you want to try it I've got a code for two months of Skin + Me for free, with my friend code. Just use my code at checkout. Code: ZARAR3JYM www.skinandme.com

I like the No7 retinol which is pretty gentle but has had a noticeable effect on my skin - start slow and build up, and use an SPF during the day.

Thanks guys which is the No 7 one as I do usually use their stuff. They seem to have a budget one really cheap then a 25 pound one.

Over the counter stuff will never be as strong as prescription strength. Have a look at Skin and Me or Dermatica. I’ve used Dermatica for a different issue (pigmentation) and my skin has noticeably improved - so much so even DP has noticed.

Oh and they will start you off on a lower strength and help you build it up.
