Does anyone use a wardrobe app?

I am sick to the back teeth of how much clothing I own that I never seem to wear, I want to get to a capsule wardrobe sort of size - there's no reason for me to have multiple white t-shirts (for example) other than I have forgotten I have one and have bought more Blush and with lockdowns I genuinely don't need multiple changes of clothes.

I've started using Save Your Wardrobe which is ok, but I was kind of hoping to get something that suggests combinations for you?! Does anything like that exist?

Anyway thought I'd ask here! Also, any great plus size capsule wardrobe blog recommendations would be welcomed!

I've been using My Closet. I wanted stylebook but it's unavailable on Android. I'm pretty happy with My Closet. There's loads of room for improvement but I can see my stuff, put together outfits and plan/document what I wear.

It's definitely helped. I challenge myself to wear all my clothes. And I can faff around planning outfits without dragging everything out of the drawers.

The stats it gives are pretty basic but the best/worst value clothes lists are enlightening!

Brill thanks. I've downloaded that one but I might try Stylebook as I'm on iphone.

How do you photograph your clothes? I've just done mine on the bed (purely because my room isn't tidy enough to hang up!) but is it better to do a pic with you wearing them? All the apps seem to show like the pictures from the website but that's not possible for most of my stuff.

I have style book and although it was a pain loading everything into it, I really love it. As a start, it made me actually look at everything I had. Embarrassing I found so many things I had completely forgotten about. I had to take pictures of a lot of pieces but did try searching the internet for some of the older stuff and some of it was still there. For me the most useful thing is the style stats, I can really get a sense for what I actually end up wearing. And it has also encouraged me to wear stuff that may not usually be my first choice.

@viewsoftheshard so do you use the advertised pictures of the products then, rather than pics you have taken? I can probably find similar, but my favourite jeggings from Matalan two years ago probably not Grin

Yes I do and not sure I should admit it, but pictures appear on eBay as well. If it’s half decent I’ll use that one. And sometimes I use just an approximation like plain v-neck jumper instead of the actual one. If I had time I’d probably do a big try on and use pictures of myself wearing it, but knew that was too ambitious for me time wise. I have found the ‘shuffle’ function a bit random. Some great suggestions that I’d never thought of putting together. Others just plain weird.

This is what my pictures look like, a bit rough but enough for me to work with!

That's boss, I've treated myself to a PAID app (for the first time ever Grin) and will start adding stuff. My favourite trainers at least I know I can find....
