Does anyone have a lot of knowledge of them? Had anyone successfully switched?

I want to make the switch for environmental reasons but I dont want to waste money on them if they're wrong.

I've got very fine, gets greasy quickly hair, normal skin. I've no idea where to start. Ive been buying my usual brands of them but in larger bottles to feel a bit more carbon footprint concious but still not ideal

Tia:)

Gruum shampoo bars are good.

I use the lemon one for my fine highlighted hair. They foam up well and last ages!

My family all like the Rush Organics shampoo bars. Lots of different ones for different hair types, no palm oil, and smell amazing! They have conditioner bars too. For my hair, I use some of their conditioner bars but have to also use a regular conditioner.

the Lush ones are great - been using them for years

Was coming here to say Gruum. I've converted loads of family and friends to them. Our house have been using them since the summer. When we ran out and went back to regular stuff for a few days even DH commented that his beard didn't feel as clean or soft. We subscribe now so we have automatic deliveries.

We use the shampoo & conditioner. The conditioner even works on my waist length very thick hair, application just needs a bit of getting used to.

I've never gotten on with the lush ones, they all make my hair feel weird and my scalp itch.

I was using some called Juliet rose they were lovely but I’m now using the Grumm ones.

Don't forget to take water hardness/softness into consideration.

The Gruum coconut one is really good. I got a free sample from a link on here. I’ve recently ordered a coconut one from Oliver Bonas so will see if that’s as good (needed something to make up free shipping!).

I've wondered about switching to them, but where do you keep them in the shower? You can't just put them in the shower tray.

OwlWearingGlasses · 11/01/2021 22:42

Daft question but how do you use them? Do you rub the bar on your hair or do you rub it between your hands until it lathers then wipe the lather into your hair?

plinkplinkfizzer · 11/01/2021 22:45

Garnier have got a new range .Boots I think sells them .

Blowingagale · 11/01/2021 22:47

I have used the lush shampoo bars. Just got a conditioner bar but not getting any lather at all so will follow this thread with interest.

SydneyCarton · 11/01/2021 22:50

OwlWearingGlasses I find the shampoo bars just lather up like soap and then you can rub the bubbles onto your head and work them in like liquid shampoo. I find the conditioner bar a bit trickier, you have to sort of rub in onto/through your hair, or work it in your hands until you get a residue coming off and then massage that in.

Another vote for Gruum. I use their conditioner bars. I use a shampoo bar from Yorkshire soap company. It lasts for ages and smells lovely
