How to look after boots

I have been given some lovely leather Russell and Bromley boots for Christmas and haven't dared wear them yet as it's been snowy/icy here. Trying to work out if I need to treat them with anything, protector spray or cream perhaps before exposing them to the elements?

All advice welcome!

There are the boots, mega cosy.

There’s a waterproofing cream you can get that keeps the leather supple, i’d use that on them, and polish them regularly/reapply cream. They’re dreamy :)

Thanks, is it this kind of thing?

They look lovely! I would just clean them regularly with a damp cloth, and use a leather conditioner and shoe polish occasionally to keep them looking nice. At the end of the winter, you should put them away clean in their box, stuffed with tissue paper and they’ll be ready to wear next Autumn. You should get a good few winters out of them if you look after them.

Yes, that collonil stuff is the bomb.

Lovely boots. They look very warm. The only thing I would add is keep an eye on that heel, get them reheeled before they wear down to the brown bit.

Thanks @evilharpy I've been a victim of that before good point!
