Hi i have wavy stubborn hair and im useless @ blowdrying it straight i just havent got enough hands! I use remington wet to straight wide straighteners which can get it pretty straight but wondered if ghds would get it straighter? With the w2s it takes nearly an hour and with 3 small kids i just dont get the time & im fed up wearing my hair up!

My hair will always have split ends as dd2 wraps mehair round her fingers and rubs it against her face to comfort her. She is a funny little fart!

Agree ghds dont last. DD1 at university now onto her fourth set; DD2 and me (we share) now using our third. They are good but only seem to last 12 - 18 months - for us anyway.

for that outlay you would think they would last omg i sound like my mum

DD2 uses them every day so the way we look at it is the cost per use isnt too bad.

i loooove my ghds, am also crap at drying hair which is frizzy and wavey but the ghds do all the work they are ace. i heard that the reason so many of them break is because people wrap the cord around them which damages the wire inside. you have to treat the darlings with respect. mine have a special case so the wire remains as straight as poss. (how sad am i?)

Hi Ladies, my stepsister seems to think that GHD will repair straightners when they become broken (something to do with having the hollogram on them) Its worth contactng them if yours break.

nappyaddict · 26/10/2007 23:36

they won't after 12 months

nappyaddict · 26/10/2007 23:42
