Need make up products to save time

Ok so granted like a lot of people I’ve hardly worn make up this year at all. However I bow have a newborn and when we can start to get out id like to be able to slap on a bit to make me look a little less zombie like but ideally this will only take 5-10mins for obvious reasons.

My main concerns are very pale skin and dark circles. Does anyone have any time saving products that are kind of 3 in 1 or anything. Maybe recommendations for a great tinted moisturiser? I’ve not had much luck with tinted moisturisers in the past as I sometimes find the colours to be a bit off.

I use a No 7 BB cream. Pretty much does what you want it to. I mix mine with some illuminator stuff too. Mascara and eyebrow pencil and that's usually enough for me. Maybe a gel blusher. I've given up on anything powdery, as I just look a bit...furry Blush

@ThundercloudYouBastard mixing with a bit of illuminator sounds like a good idea actually, hadn’t thought of that. Can I ask which illuminator you use to mix in?

I think it is also No 7 Smile.

My best suggestion is Yves Saint Laurent Touché Eclat Foundation. You can quickly dab on with a makeup sponge or Beauty Blender in a light layer. It provides a pretty, dewy (but not greasy) coverage and builds easily if you want more coverage.
I'd then add a lightly tinted pink/nude lip balm (or whatever color suits your skin) and a conditioning mascara. If you have an extra moment an espresso eyeliner (top or bottom) can really make a difference.

Buildable foundations I think are more versatile than tinted moisturiser. I like Dior Backstage which comes in lots of shades. Cream blushes can be used as lipstick, or vice versa Smile

How about a light fake tan the night before? St Tropez do a good self tan face spritz or Clarins do some drops you can add to your night moisturiser. That way you may get away with no foundation/concealer?

NYX do an excellent tinted moisturiser with a decent range of colours, but the coverage is very light.

I’m currently experimenting with products for my under eye circles. At the moment I’ve got the Benefit hydrating one and it is very easy and quick to apply. The L’Oréal one that says it’s an eye cream with concealer is quite good, but again the coverage is light.

It’s a good idea to use lipstick as blusher, or get a cheek/lip tint.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise cream eyeshadow... just whack a bit on with a brush. It’s foolproof.

Bumble84 · 04/01/2021 09:49

@JMAngel1 I’ve pondered about the fake tan drops you can add to night moisturiser actually. Maybe is worth a try just to give a bit of colour.

Thanks for other ideas. I’m a bit reluctant to buy the more expensive brands like Dior just now because we can’t colour match in store but I will definitely take note for the future.

I like Clarins Instant Light concealer, just on the bits that need it (under eyes, around nose & chin) - rather than a full face. Plus mascara and a lip tint, that's my minimum to look human, & takes a couple of minutes, if that.

I also have dark circles. Personally, I prefer to use a decent moisturiser the night before and just use a regular foundation in the morning. I don't get the coverage I need from tinted moisturiser.

I like Revlon colour stay. It gives good coverage and sets quickly. I think as long as you get things that dry and set quickly, it's easy to throw a face of make up on in 15 minutes.
