If a person is 5'3 and size 16-18 what weight would you think they would be?

Just based on your own height/weight/dress size. Sorry is this is a strange question but just wondering following a conversation with MIL what weight she thinks I am. Thanks

I'd say about 12 stones 12 lbs.

About 13/14 stone?

well I am 5 foot 3, I weigh 11 5 and I am size 14 on top, and 16 on bottom. I therfore have light bones and lots of heavy fat imo.

I weigh fairly heavy for my size, always have.

Sounds like yet another competitive MiL to me..... She's only saying these things to get a rise out of you.
Perhaps she was made to feel bad after having her children and can't understand why you are happy and confident? It's none of her business what size or weight you are, but if you let her know she will give you comparative information about herself which will make you steam (my MiL did this, it's all about their own self-esteem, not helping you..... don't open the box!!)

BTW I am 5'2, 11 stone, size 12.

working out weight depends on body shape and sizes are very arbitrary (as we all know)....i am 9st 6 and 5 feet 2 inches but can't get into size twelve trousers...especially in top shop. Take size 10 tops though. i saw my doctor write 57 kilos for weight on my notes when I weighed 65 kilos-she hadnt actually weighed me, but assumed that she could assess weight I suppose. To give mil the benefit of the doubt, sometimes its difficult to judge weight, especially if its not all around the belly, and maybe you "wear it well", as it were....

Have lost a bit of weight, and am now a size 12-14, but I am still very overweigfht. For my height and frmae I should be a size 8, or even a 6. Alsthough I never will be.

I'm feeling so depressed now. My bones must be made of polystyrene.

This is such a can of worms!!!!!!!

The only time I ever had a waist the same dress size as my hips I weighed 6st3lbs (a bit underweight!!!) and I was still fertile!!!

Everyone thinks I'm really really skinny but all they see is my non-existent hips not my hidden stomach and my boobs are 70% gel filled bra (otherwise my tummy sticks out as far as my norks).

Body shape is such an odd thing dressing to make the most of your good points makes a huge difference - just throw your scales out and you'll all be much happier

I'm really at how much this varies. I don't like to be pinched and squeezed by my clothes so I tend to wear them a bit big I think.

UnionJack - am not complaining myself. Especially as I have been 15 stone in the past. Combined with my height made me look like the incredible hulk. LOL

The smallest I've been is 10st 7 when I got married. And everyone said I looked too thin.(I thought I looked great!)

I'm 5 foot 9. Have size 8 feet. But really skinny arms shoulders and legs.Big old childbearing hips tho. and a fat arse. Yum!!

I am 5'3" and size 14. Based on what I weigh (state secret) I would guess someone of 16-18 at my height would weigh 12 - 13.5 stone. But I see from above that my assumptions may very well be wrong.

At 5'3" and 9.5 stone, I was size 12. At 8 stone 2 (I was that once, briefly!) I was size 10. I'll never know how little I'd have to weigh to be size 8 .
