Best vitamin C serum

Angbunnyboo · 28/12/2020 18:40

I was using the Khiels 12.5% and found it quite good, and then switched to GOW C serum with ferric and its awful, it pills badly and smells awful.

I've got up to £100 to spend and want the best serum for my money. Don't care if it cost £5 or the full whack, I'd just like something to make my skin tone better.

TIA

The Ordinary 23% one in Silicon.

I’ve tried a few
Drunk Elephant - very oily broke me out hugely
Oskia similar to Above
Dr Dennis gross - pretty good

Dermogica - by far my favourite very moisturising and not greasy

I'm using Medik8 or Sunday Riley ceo glow at the moment. Love them both

LivingDeadGirlUK · 29/12/2020 23:03

I use the 10% superdrug one, its a tenner and has really brightened my face.

GrimDamnFanjo · 30/12/2020 02:20

Medik8 and MelanoCC

Obagi vit C serum 15%.

Is Clinical Pro Heal Serum is the best Ive tried. I also liked the Timeless one mentioned here, although its not as good but much cheaper.

Delatron · 30/12/2020 15:07

Yes @WellIWasInTheNeighbourhoo that is the one I use. It’s amazing. I’ve used it for years and won’t use anything else. Expensive but worth every penny.

Then I spend precisely £8 on a Cerave moisturiser so I figure it balances out!

Pinkiii · 30/12/2020 16:27

Another vote for medik8

Bubble5123 · 30/12/2020 16:34

I have tried quite a few. Timeless is by far my favourite, I found it very effective. However it is really hard to find now so if I can't get it then I use Medik8 which I also like.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/12/2020 16:42

I have the Superfacialist one. It's currently on sale at sainsbury's!

Everley · 30/12/2020 17:29

I absolutely loved the Sunday Riley CEO serum. Also like the vitamin C powder from Philosophy, I could just add it to whatever moisturiser I was using.

doadeer · 30/12/2020 17:48

I've tried quite a few.

I have Medik8 which I like a lot, Oskia capsules are my favourite but I wouldn't use if you don't want a good "glow" - I don't think they would sit well under makeup. My skin looks amazing after Oskia.

I find Sunday Riley lighter than Medik8 and Oskia so would sit under make up better if this is important to you.

I've also tried revolution (cheap but nice) and la Roche posay which is a great mid range option!
