I want to feel amazing in 2021 - what are your tips?

Physically, i feel pretty rubbish. Fat, bloated, not sleeping well.
So I plan to lose weight, and get back I to exercise, but typically I just massively restricted my calories abd feel a bit thinner but no better...

This time I want to eat well, and train hard. And be less focused on what i look like and more on how I feel.

I'm going to cut down on sugar, cut out booze, I don't drink a lot of caffeine anyway. Just one morning coffee, so I'll keep that.

I want to Really look after myself. Sleep better etc.

Does anyone have any tips?

I find yoga boring but my flexibility is poor after almost a year hunched over my laptop so I might re-start that.

Any tips on diet for making me feel good?

Or gut health in general?

I've started river swimming which I find amazing for my mood and mental health. So I'm definitely keeping that up.

I'm sick of feeling shit!

So far my daily plan is:
1 cup green tea
Multi vit
Prebiotic and probiotic
Vit d
Teaspoon of manuka honey (every other day due to sugar content)
Lots of water
Kombucha or kefir yog
6 portions of veg
Decent protein twice a day (I'm veggie and v lazy about protein usually).

Read before bed instead of phone
In bed by 10.30

I often feel good after fasting, although I'm too sure what I think of all the benefits you read about. As it makes me feel good, I might incorporate once a week or something.

I’m place marking as I’m just making lunch for Ds but I am in and want this too! Have you looked at the princessing threads?!

Get outside as much as possible. Get your 10,000 steps in. Meet with friends who make you feel good. During lockdown I found that an hour’s socially distant walk with a friend or colleague once or twice a week, talking through what’s in our brains, was way better for my mental health than a night on the wine together. It’s almost like therapy. Maybe one of them wants to do the same as you so you’ll have a wellness buddy.

Things that make me feel good

No sugar/low carb - I've eaten lots of sugar over Xmas and feel bloated and lethargic. Low carb means my hunger is much more under control and no bloating.

No alcohol - alcohol massively effects my sleep and mood so I generally avoid.

Getting outside in nature is a massive mood booster for me.

Having a skin care routine.

Getting up and showered/dressed. The more I sit and chill the more lethargic I become and I feel yuk. I feel much better if I get up and get on with day.

Having time to myself really help. Reading, pampering, walking with my headphones and a pod cast,

Sleep - lack of sleep or poor quality really effects me. I can only sleep 7 hours but I try to do lots of sleep hygiene to get the best quality I can.

Lots of veg! Veg makes much most of my plate.
