she is a 34ff (the last time she got fitted) but won’t wear anything with padding, wires or clips at the back. She’s worn sports bras for the past couple of years but it’s difficult to find any that fit her properly while still being comfortable. She’s also lost quite a lot of weight this year and needs old ones replaced but I can’t keep buying new ones if she’s going to tell me she hates them after a couple of weeks. So far everything I’ve got for her to try loses it’s shape after several wears or doesn’t flatten her chest as much as she’d like. I’m starting to think what she wants doesn’t really exist in her size

Would she wear Molke?

snowone · 26/12/2020 19:20

Have you taken her to a specialist bra shop for people with bigger breasts, like Bravissimo?

Also I wore bras when pregnant called Molke, they may be worth looking at!

greyworld · 26/12/2020 20:07

@snowone she’s had four bras from there before but didn’t wear them much and says no to all of the sports bras on their website. I’ll ask her about molke but I don’t think it has the compression she wants

Will she wear zip front sports bras?
Next have one at a reasonable price.
I've had one from M&S that Was pretty indestructible and flattened me a lot, but I don't think they do it now.

Have a look at the Limitless bra. It’s very different in that it’s designed for teenagers and might suit her.

dancemom · 26/12/2020 20:24

Have you had her remeasured since she lost weight?

Or measure her yourself / herself?

CornishTiger · 26/12/2020 20:36

Also interested if any of you have suggestions for a 9 year old! She’s extremely sensory and has a visible breast outline now. She needs something.

We got some pull on ones from m&s but she won’t wear them.

LightOfAThousandStars · 26/12/2020 21:34

If you look on the Curvy Kate website they have a form you can use to contact their bra expert, you send a few pictures and she gets back to you with the righr styles and size for you. I was struggling with finding the right size for me and now wear their Victory bra really comfortably.

dd who has asd wears pull on ones with sports style back from sainsburys. They are a very thick, soft fabric so are reasonably supportive but have no frills or hooks etc.

I have ASD and wear sloggi comfort crop tops. They aren't as supportive as bras, but 100% better than the alternatives (for me) and I forget I'm wearing them, no horrible seams (you do need to cut labels out). They do bras as well but I've not tried them. The sloggi website has a fit guide and I've found it accurate.

AdventureIsWaiting · 26/12/2020 22:03

Ps, you can cut the labels out and remove the thread - it's so easy, no hard edges. Can't recommend them enough.

SabrinaTheMiddleAgedBitch · 26/12/2020 23:04

Another vote for the Sloggi crop tops. They are the only thing my ASD 15 year old will wear happily and she has a lot of sensory issues

KatharinaRosalie · 27/12/2020 08:57

Molke has quite strong compression and minimizing effect - if this is what she's after then let her try one out. I could even exercise in mine. I'm an FF and sloggi does not work at all - yes it feels like you're feeling nothing, but they gave 0 support as well.

only thing I don't like about Molke is that they do have quite thick seams, which can be irritating. My solution is to wear the tops inside out, so I have the soft side against my skin.
