Spotty skin - which products would you recommend?

I usually have dry skin but over the last month or so it's become really spotty, like it was when I was a teenager! It's horrible - kind of spotty and dry and oliy all the same time - yuk!

The only other time I've had this was when I was pg, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case now . It feels like a hormonal thing, anyway.

So are there any fab products for spotty grown-ups? I'd love to hear any recommendations. TIA!

what a relief that I'm not the only one with spots. I have quite an itchy patch on one cheek. Looks very red. Don't know where to start with all the advice on here! Am copying it all into my diary for when I go shopping next!

Thanks for starting this thread!

hi roseylea

i was a spot-free teen, but got really messy in early twenties. i cannot recommend highly enough Lush's Cosmetic Warrior facemask.

I think Lush can be a bit hit and miss, but this mask rocks. you keep it in the fridge and it has an an amazing calming effect. my lit' sis used to say it took the purple edge off my outbreaks

I still think my cleanser is the best !!!! (see earlier) but one thing to add is to not touch your face with your fingers/hands throughout the day. I find myself more spotty when I do this. If you stop touching your face (and your spots, to see how they are doing!) then you will be clearer

Bessie... I was terribly spotty while PG (and when I was TTC, off the pill). But it miraculously cleared up after the birth, all the time I was BFing... those hormones obviously suited my skin fabulously.

Am a huge fan of Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish - similar in principle to the Eve Lom stuff but only about £18 for one that lasts about 3 - 4 months - I worked in the beauty industry for years and this is by far the best and most gentle cleanser I have ever found!
