I am having chemo at the moment and my skin is getting really dry and I'm looking quite sallow and grey.
I normally only use a bit of coverage under my eyes and around my nose, so I need something light but nothing that will further dry my skin, as my pours looks stretched and awful as it is.
I am early 40's with a fair, yellow skin tone.
Can you recommend anything that will stay on and make me look less ill?
My budget is £25. Keep in mind I've never really needed foundation until now, so am weary of spending a lot on something I won't like.
Boots aren't giving out samples at the moment.

How about trying a BB cream or a tinted moisturiser. Essence in Wilko is as cheap as chips and is very light coverage, or you could try Boots No 7 - the assistant will probably help.

Hope the chemo isn't too gruelling. Flowers

Hello, I have really dry skin and I like bare minerals tinted moisturiser. It’s really hydrating and nice and glowy but still feels light on the skin. Coverage of a light foundation.

It shows you the shades on actual faces not just little squares so it’s easier to choose the right one online.

@ILoveShula thanks, that's a good point actually.
I do have essence lip stick and it's actually really good stuff. I'll definitely give it a try.

I'm not keen on No7, there are some ingredients they use that I'm not keen on.

Thanks Thanks it's been pretty gruelling so far.

Macmillan has a partnership with Boots. Boots do a video or phone consultation giving make up advice to women having cancer treatment . Scroll down in this link and you will find it. Hope it's helpful

I would have said No 7 hydraluminous but I can see you don't get on with their range. I wonder whether as well as foundation / tinted moisturiser, a bit of highlighter would help bring a bit of a glow to your skin? I know it does for me with foundation. I have loads from beauty boxes, would happily send you one to try. You sound like you've been through the mill with everything - hope things get better. Flowers

Flowers Wishing you well very soon. I found this product very nice and didn't sit in (the many) lines under my eyes

Sorry I don't know how to make it a clicky link

Fuckmyliferightnow · 22/12/2020 12:40

@Butterymuffin ooh I'd love a try!

@TheDogsMother I have seen that before, definitely worth looking into more. Thanks.

Lots to try here Smile
