Age spots help!

I'm in my mid 50s and have three noticeable brown age spots on my left cheek. I've worn sunblock every day for decades so I think I must have been burned on one side of my face when I was young. There are lots of expensive products which claim to help but for me are too expensive for the long term use which I suspect they need for any effect. Any ideas? Thanks!

Timeless vitamin c with ferulic. About £20.

Oh, are you wearing a stand alone sunscreen? As opposed to in moisturiser/makeup, and are you applying enough? 1.25ml for face.

The Ordinary Vitamin C faded mine. It stings slightly, but I put soothing Marula oil on straight afterwards and the stinging stops.

Can you tell us which version of The Ordinary vit c worked for you? They seem to have about 8 different strengths and mixtures. I’m trying to find the best one for age spots, rather than general brightening, etc.

Thanks!

Thanks got your suggestions! Yes I wear a stand alone sun block. I'm very careful
In the sun but I suspect this is damage done long ago in the days when they used to tell fair skinned children to burn and then go brown 😬

I’ve worn spf 50 sunblock every days for 21 years and I still got patches after having the contraceptive implant Angry

I use dermatica and they sent me tretonoin and hydroquinone but I’ve heard good things about skin+me on here too.

It takes a while to work.

Could be years of driving if the right side of your face is the one by the window (mine was). Don’t waste money on regular stuff, you will only get rid of them with something like tretinoin and lightener/or laser. You need a dermatologist rather than a beautician I’m afraid.

@Girlroolz - mine is called Vit C Suspension 23% and HA Spheres 2%. My tube is around a year old, as it lasts a long time, so hopefully it still exists.

I've got the same problem for the same reasons. I had laser treatment, but it didn't work. I just got very scabby and had to stay indoors for ages. I'll give The Ordinary a try.
