Brown hair turned green

Please help

Disastrous trip to salon, going from blonde to brunette.
It went red on top, and a blonde ashy brown on the bottom.

I panicked and didn’t say anything at the time, thought it may be the shock of blonde to ‘brunette’ and I was being fussy. So my fault for not dealing with it at the time.
But then with no confidence in my hair dresser (and obviously unable to get an apt at a new well rated salon nearby) I decided to try to fix it at home
But I guess the warm brown I chose wasn’t warm enough and now the ends have turned green - I’m assuming due to lack of red pigment in the ends.

I’m reluctant to dye it again after all it’s been through now. Is there anything I can do? Do I just put it in a messy bun all Christmas and stay in dim lighting...

I’m almost £200 down and have red roots and green ends. I want to cry!!

Brown over ashy colours turn your hair green so yes it needs more red to counteract it. One thing you could try whilst you are waiting for an appointment is tomato sauce!!! Sounds wacky but it works. Put it in and leave it for a bit whilst you have a bath or cook the tea then wash out. You could also try a wash out red mousse just a touch on the ends and see how that works. Good luck x

Or you could try a josh wood shade shot gloss? There's a chestnut one which is pretty warm? I've just used the champagne blonde one as I had ashy ends and warm roots and it's given it a better all over tone and left it very soft and shiny!!

Second the tomato ketchup suggestion

Touch of silver brunette and John Frieda brunette stopped my blonde to brunette hair going green.

Thanks maybe I was over ambitious going from platinum to a dark brown. But feel like if that was the case it should have been explained! I’ve got an apt lined up for mid January all being well.
Good job I’m not seeing anyone over Christmas I suppose!

Superdrug do a deep brown conditioner - I use it on my brown/grey hair once or twice a week and it makes it a lovely chestnut colour that’s very natural. Also second the John Frieda brunette shampoo and conditioner which is lovely, rich and nourishing, and leaves my hair browner, shiny and glossy.

Superdrug do those Colour Effects wash in hair colours, I think there’s a rich warm brown & a warm chocolate brown, they are quite good. Could be a temporary fix until you get back to a salon & they’re only about £1.99, on offer 2 for £3 at the moment.
