Has anyone had this? And what was your experience? Thank you

Yes I did about 4 mo the ago. Worked well for me.

Mummyoftwo91 · 15/12/2020 20:41

What was the pain like? And did you bruise badly? @IndieTara

Ooh, watching with interest.
I’ve heard they don’t last long though, I can’t really afford to spending hundreds if they only last a few months

Mummyoftwo91 · 15/12/2020 20:50

I've had my lips done before a few times but very subtly, results lasted about 8 months for me, depends on your metabolism how quickly your body breaks down the filler, mine is very slow 🤣 I'm due to get my tear trough done Saturday! I feel nervous about it for some reason, never felt that way with my lips!

Mummyoftwo91 · 15/12/2020 20:50

@LouiseBelchersBunnyEars apparently lasts up to a year

Where are you going and how much is it costing, if you don’t mind me asking? I really want to get it done, but I’ve never had any fillers or anything before, and I’m really a scaredy-cat. Will you update us how you get on?

IndieTara · 15/12/2020 21:13

@Mummyoftwo91 it wasn't painful but uncomfortable and no bruising at all. They used a canula. Would def have it done again

ferretface · 15/12/2020 21:34

Results are great if your injector is skilled - really takes away the tired expression - but be aware you can bruise even with a skilled injector and if you do it's a proper black eye. Avoid NSAIDs the week before to reduce risk of this. There are a lot of blood vessels in your face and blockage to these is extremely serious so make sure you go to a doctor. They should also have the enzyme on hand that breaks down the hyuralonic acid in case of complications. Not to scare you but it's good to know the risks so you can choose an appropriately skilled practitioner.

I will update and do before and after pictures! I work in the nhs and one of the nurses I work with is qualified in this and has just left to start her own clinic, so I am getting it for a very good price, I believe usually it's around 300/400, she did my lips recently and they look great and very natural, well, my lips but better if you get what I mean

Some before pictures! As you can see my under eyes are very hollow, I am in my twenties! Sick of looking tired all the time! In the last few years I've noticed them getting worse and worse, my mum has the same so I know it's genetics!

I had them. They last about a year and are brilliant. No pain or bruising. Done with a Canula and results just make you look a little fresher

Stinkyjellycat · 15/12/2020 22:51

I’ve had them done. No pain, no bruising at all and a significant improvement. I look significantly less tired. They are just starting to wear off after about a year.

Stinkyjellycat · 15/12/2020 22:53

Please make sure you go to a doctor who specialises in aesthetics full time and has lots of experience doing this as it’s a very tricky area to treat. I’d never go to someone who does it outside their normal job as they just won’t do it enough.

CarpeVitam · 15/12/2020 22:59

Saddo's 🙄

Those look like "allergy shiners". In that case, it may be your mother shares a similar allergy-prone makeup; it could be dietary, sinus-related, any number of things. I would look into that before having someone poke about in a risky area and potentially cause blindness.
Mummyoftwo91 · 16/12/2020 06:14

@cbt944 unfortunately this is just how my face looks lol all the women in my family have this, the skin has got thinner and thinner around my eyes over the years, when I had my consultation she said that it's very common but that I was a good candidate for tear trough fillers as I have quite full cheeks, I just wasn't expecting to look this tired in my twenties so I hope this makes me look more fresh, it's started to make me very self conscious

I really want to get this done too!

Stinkyjellycat · 16/12/2020 07:55

@CarpeVitam
Can you elaborate on your comment?

retinol · 16/12/2020 08:55

I’m very interested in this procedure, but I’m not sure if I’d be able to get it. I’m quite terrified of needles and they don’t put you under general anesthesia for it so I’d possibly be so scared I throw a fit lol. However I’ve only heard good things about those who get good results, with tear trough similar to yours.

ferretface · 16/12/2020 09:58

@retinol the needle or cannula is obviously quite close to your eyes, there are parts of the procedure where the doctor may ask you to look up but at other points you can close your eyes. The strangest thing is the kind of popping/crackling noise that the filler makes as the doctor slowly injects it. If that makes you feel woozy maybe it's not for you!

IndieTara · 16/12/2020 10:46

@retinol you don't actually see the canula and needle going towards your eye area but as pp said it can feel a little weird. For me tear troughs were far less uncomfortable than my cheek fillers and nose fillers

IndieTara · 16/12/2020 10:49

@Mummyoftwo91 the year trough filler really helped my hollows and lines but didn't do a lot for my dark circles. Before and after pictures below but I do have make up on

@IndieTara looks really great! I'm hoping I will love the result of mine, I've been told I may need a few visits, starting off with a small amount first!
